100% which is why I don’t support people stating “the majority of players support X” without factual evidence to support the claim.
I’m sure blizzard can see how many people are respecing and how often. I have no issue with people asking for dual spec to be implemented. I myself requested that the original level 60 unarmored epic mounts be included in classic vanilla and was met with lots of yes and lots of no, we actually got a dev response (which was extremely short sighted and depressing). So I know all about asking for things.
Edit - I mean that over the course of 10 years blizzard has turned THE mmorpg into “just another” mmorpg. I believe the primary reason for this is due to an inability to collect accurate data on what normal players actually want, just the loudest.
More accurate to say, “the majority of people polled support X” rather than “majority of players.”
But projections are going made based on that data anyway since polling absolutely everyone would be impossible. I think this is how most businesses operate as well.
Something I have noticed is back when a lot of the 3rd party information was gathered, it wasn’t from a single website. It was gathered from multiple sources all showing that the majority–again, for clarification–of the people who were polled supported it.
100%, but to that end I would still argue that most of the people responding to those polls were doing so because they want dual spec in the first place, as opposed to someone who doesn’t want it or doesn’t care, who wouldn’t be searching for polls for or against dual spec implementation.
The heart of my argument is that people leave reviews in most cases because they upset as opposed to satisfied customers leaving reviews because they are satisfied. Hence why I believe the people looking for dual spec polls and responding to them are upset that dual spec is not in the game, as opposed to people who do not care or do not want it seeking out a poll In the first place.
Either way, I will be playing the game regardless, I love how passionate this community is, it’s part of the reason the game is still around.
On top of that there’s also the argument that just because the majority supports something does not necessarily make it necessary for blizzard to implement it. Maybe the devs working on tbcc are themselves against dual spec implementation and do not believe it would positively impact the game.
Dual spec would absolutely be a popular change, and it would positively impact everybody because everybody would use it, they would save time and they would save gold. But that still doesn’t mean that it will be implemented or that it would be good for the long term health of the game.
I dont believe you. At all. Maybe ONE day, but not every day. You’re lying.
Oh poor poor paladin, can fill all 3 roles but cant do it for free. It’s almost as if the game was designed to have consequences for switching roles. Decisions shouldnt have consequences!
More like the player that is helping keep content flowing by filling needed roles gets punished for doing so. Back in TBC you wouldn’t necessarily get flamed for not having the perfect spec for the situation, but that isn’t the case in 2021 meta slave TBCC.
If blizzard was thinking with their wallets they’d keep the respec cost at 50g and implement the wow token. Two birds, you destroy botting or at least hurt it a lot AND people can respec and just pay with ca$h
