I purchased the game in November of 2005, activated my sub in December of 2005 I was the grand age of 29 as well.

I had a 4 year old son and was married to my first husband at the time. I have since divorced and remarried, gotten my bachelorā€™s degree and am currently working on my Masterā€™s Degree. My son is now 17 will be 18 soon and Iā€™ve tried to get him to play with me and my husband but he seems uninterested.

Ohhh and I am 43 years old now!

I hope you feel well enough to have some laughs and distraction when you can revisit wowā€¦ Good luck and best wishes on your recovery.

My 11 year old twins and 13 year old convinced me they need their own account so mom could play hers!

27 when it first came out.

I think 16. Sophomore in high school.

I was 14. My parents had just split and I was living with my mother and her boyfriend, who introduced me to the game. I played all throughout high school and some how managed to graduate without being there for half the time.

Graduated college a few times since then, I work multiple jobs to support my cats and apparently my roommates. No partner or kids, unlike many of the other 28-30ish year olds I see in this thread. :speak_no_evil:

I have remained friends with many guild mates from vanilla and meet them IRL once in a while (Iā€™m from Ontario and Iā€™ve been to Virginia and Colorado). Bonds that would not have been made in retail, just saying. My guild family got me through adolescence and I am forever grateful to them and WoW for being my home away from home.

I was ten! A wee baby!
I played on my motherā€™s account for a while, and then got my own when we all officially started playing.

Now in a few days, my own daughter will turn 5. Iā€™m 25.

Iā€™m excited to play through all of the old quests I remember, and to discover ones I never played on the other faction.

I was 55 years old and what I remember the most is all the youngsters that I met who were so kind and patient with me.

So, going on 70 but feeling 17. What a trip.

  1. I was in my sophomore year of high school. This was right before the BC content patch released and I remember being so amazed that an online game could update itself as much as it did.

I was in my late 30ā€™s with a kiddo in grade school and doing my best to dodge a job I hated. Started just before BC came out and have played off and on ever since. Now Iā€™m 50 and have a job I love, the kiddo is grown, and I remarried. My wife is into EQ2 so she wonā€™t mind if I play a bunch of WoW

I was 34 or 35 ā€¦ we started with DAOC then hubby and daughter went with WoW beta / retail ā€¦ I was deployed for OIF when it came outā€¦ got back in May 2005 so was a bit late but was hard core raiding in T3. Was a DAOC raider in the day ā€¦so raiding was kind of a thing. Loved it and hated it at the same timeā€¦ would spend hours farming crap so I could raid. Even rolled a lock to help summon, farmed shards to run my Main / alt so my alt could summon to Naxā€¦ oh the days.

21 when I first played WoW, 28 when I first played Vanilla.

Iā€™m 33 now. :frowning:

My brother gave it to me for my 16th birthday so we could play together while he was in the Air Force and stationed in Montana. A couple weeks later (Nov 2005) I made my first druid, only to reroll another one (who has been main all these years) on Alliance because he wanted to swap because his best friend was playing a NElf warrior.

It was my last year of HS and first year of community college. I was addicted enough to read the game manual that came with the discs when I wasnā€™t playing lol (I remember things like Plainsrunning being mentioned that had already been removed from the game at that point).

My friends and I even installed the game on the graphic design computers. Weā€™d play even during classes (they had enough room) and because we were quiet the instructorā€™s didnā€™t care. Good times.
