I had just turned 14 a few weeks prior and had been playing Starcraft/Diablo 2/Warcraft2-3-FT since they all launched. This was 100% the game I wanted to play and my computer died after I hit level ten on a gnome warlock. Got a new computer for an early christmas that year and grinded on a druid for the next few years after
24 in 2005 when i tried it. I didnt stay because it was too casual and easy compared to DAoC and SWG where i came from. Im older now and cant play like i did back then so im excited for classic wow
Think I was 30. Was playing Lineage 2 for the first 6 months after WoW release, but eventually came over and played.
The wide array of ages is really interesting. Iām impressed some of you were coordinated enough to start playing at 6 or 8!
I think I was around 19 or 20 when I started playing near the beginning of wrath. I somehow managed to juggle a full-time job, study and raiding. I have no idea how I managed to spend so much time farting around in wow, it feels like there used to be more hours in the day.
Iām now 31 with two kids that fill up most of my time so I guess Iāll be trying to optimize what little time I can squeeze into playing. I foresee a lot more planning and researching out of game (itās not avoiding responsibilities, itās uh being efficient with my time honest) instead of just jumping into the game and working stuff out on the fly.
I was 30. Iām 45 now.
I was 15 when i first played. This game is the reason my brother and i convinved our parents to get the internet for the first time ever.
I was 17. Iām 32 now
A siren song indeed. I was 50 when I started, 63 now and cannot wait!
I also played L2. Which Server were you on? I was on Erica <3
hah. I honestly do not remember the server name. I played a dwarf treasure hunter named Doboā¦
I played a Dark Avenger. That game was so grindy. It made Vanilla feel really easy.
I was 35 and had young teenaged sons who played with me as well. Drove my ex husband (step-dad to boys) nuts that we all shared that and he was left out. Hey, we tried!
Iām 48 now, and have far more time than I did back then. The boys are grown and will be joining me againā¦weāre super excited! I actually have fewer responsibilities than I did back then, but they have moreā¦so weāll see how it goes.
Iāve played L2 since 2005. I donāt know if many other WoW players who know about L2.
Hindemith>Phoenix>Chronos
I still have a Character on Chronos lol
15 10chars
I was 11 lol. I turn 25 in two months. Now I wont have to sacrifice doing algebra homework for gametime and can actually get past level 31.
I started in 2006 in December I think. It was a month or two before BC was released, so I never got a chance to play Vanilla at its core. I was 26. Been playing off and on ever since. Last time I logged into my warrior to play BFA was in Febā¦game became boring as hell, even though I can only play for a few hours on Sunday nights as Im off on Mondays only. Iām looking forward to playing on Sunday nights when wife and daughter are sleep and I have a nice quiet dark home to myself to enjoy Azeroth!
Same here. I have my original char still. Every now and then iāll pop on to see whatās up but the game is dead and devs ruined it tbh. L2 Classic was a complete fking scam. I played when it first came out last fall and it was only good for 3-5mo before they ruined it entirely.
WoW Launched when I was 18.
