  1. I’m 34 now. Was introduced to WoW by a RL friend. He quit in BC. I’ve come and gone a few times, the last being Legion. I’m getting back into Classic with that same RL friend from 15 years ago, and I still have a few people from my Vanilla guild on real ID that I hope come back too.

I was 14 years less old than I am now.

14 and it pretty much ruined my life

GPA (and therefore college)… tanked
social life… tanked
dating life… tanked
health/fitness… tanked

Just going to state the obvious here, we’re leaving somebody out of this conversation. How old were you when you started playing WoW would be more relevant to some people. I was 15 in the last eight months before TBC came out and I’m as hardheaded as it gets. I keep coming back every couple of years but I didn’t raid again until MoP and I got full raid sets on three of my characters.

I may be the youngest tank in WoW history… I finished Garr, zg20, and the first boss of aq20 and every time I went on a raid someone wanted me to tank. Needless to say, I’m a classic warrior for life and in my luck, we’ve hardly ever wiped.

Around 25-26 I guess. I was playing EQ2 when Vanilla first came out, but I got annoyed with it and switched to WoW some months later.

i was so very young at 39 playing w my little preteen nephew and his friends making sure everyone was safe and they were and i fell in love with wow.
Today i’m 54 and still enjoy my game time w the same nephew though we do step away and work, travel and visit outside the game.

Mid-30’s then, mid 50’s now.

Then, no kids as recently married after moving countries to be with S/O, though we had a still-young pet bird that would run back and forth across the desk to “help” us play.

Now, still no kids, running our own business takes most of our time and we’re now enjoying the freedom. Sadly, pet bird passed away last year so will not be joining us on the journey. At least now we have our own house and don’t have to worry about keeping the neighbors up late at night raiding.

I was 21-23 during vanilla. I’m 36 now and probably won’t be doing the PvP rank grind this time around.

My brother in law just started chemo day before. I wish you the best of luck. Stay strong.

My wife designed the original talent calculator used by IGN back in the day and was super into the game. She’s been playing GW 2 since it launched, and there’s zero chance of prying her away haha.

I’m sure we’ll still have fun =)

  1. Now I’m 112 and my raisin ranch has great wi-fi and arranges changing my diapers around my raid times.

First played in 2005 when I was 22. I was in the Army at the time, some other soldiers got me in to it. I barely played Vanilla though, was way too busy leading up to a deployment and then spending 15 months in Afghanistan. When I got home BC was out and that’s when I started to play way more.

Really looking forward to Classic since I didn’t get a chance to do any end game the first time around.

16 when it come out. Sophomore high schooler.

17 and was in my senior year of HS. It’s a friggin miracle I graduated.

I was 45 when I started playing Vanilla…I turned 61, waiting on Classic.

Started playing in November 2004 at the age of 49…just re-subscribed for Classic.

I was 25 started in 2005.

I can still look at my billing all the way to when I started playing in the beginning of March 2005.

But anyways I was 19 when I started a few months after initial launch. Played pretty much straight through up to cats and then took a few month break. I then played up through BFA, but quit probably a month in because it’s just not the same game anymore. 33 going on 34 married have our own house, no kids and working at a hospital in the U.P. of Michigan. and I’m looking forward to jumping back in where it all began.

Wow was my first MMO. Before I was mostly playing blizzard RTS games and Age of Empires. Did CS casually, but other then that it was mostly just N64
