Was going to sub just for a chance for beta, but honestly just dont want to pay for retail right now. Most likely i’ll be sticking with classic for awhile, at least until we get a BC or wrath server.
I’ll play Classic, but will play FFXIV when I feel it is time for a break, not retail WoW.
Right now I’m only subbed because Classic in August. Till then I’m enjoying Arkham, Fallout, and Skyrim.
It’s not that big of a deal, I’m not picking one or the other… I’ll definitely be playing classic but if retail is good I’ll play it also, if not I’ll spend more time on classic. I’ve never been one to play a game if I’m not enjoying it, I was unsubbed through most of WoD cause it was garbage, been unsubbed for most of BFA so far for the same reason
I have played wow since CLASSIC, but since Cataclysm, i only played for about 50% or less of the XP each XP since. It just seems to EASY and I get bored. There are MANY things each XP i liked, however, BFA is boring because of too easy quick N easy quests. For someone whos casual and doesnt really raid, I think its too easy and REWARDS are given out like halloween candy. Just doesnt feel great.
I like a lot in BFA, the story line is amazing, but game play is boring after a month or two. TOO MANY REWARDS TO EASY. its not a challenge, and there is WAY TOO much mobility in PVP. Seriously.
Haven’t played retail in many months.
I resubscribed just to have a shot at the Classic beta, but won’t even go near Retail. It’s amazing how the game with the same name could become so completely different and utterly unrecognisable.
I will stop playing bfa to play classic full time. Taking 16 days of vacation to no life level.
I already stopped. I hate what they’ve done to classes and warforge/titanforge to name a couple.
I stopped several months ago (look at my level). Planning on resubbing to play Classic, and I MAY resume playing ALSO “retail”, should some Classic wisdom have a beneficial effect on it.
Literally a 1% chance I ever touch retail again. Told my guild if they aren’t planning on classic it was nice knowing them. That 1% is if retail actually becomes like how wow used to be and not this rngspeedfest abomination it’s become
I plan to play Classic as my main game and play Retail right after new content drops.
See the new stuff on Retail, then go back to Classic.
I haven’t played Retail in several months now, and have no plans on going back any time in the near future. Once classic hits, I’ll be firing up that WoW launcher on a daily basis.
I’m still subbed for the next couple years due to cashing in a ridiculous amount of gold I’d hoarded, but otherwise my account would have lapsed quite some time ago.
I plan on playing Classic more, but I will return to modern WoW at times as I still got some good friends there who I enjoy talking to, and do new content if it interest me enough.
Even then though I don’t plan on playing Classic as much either since there are other games I want to experience around the time Classic releases.
I already stop playing over a year ago. I did come back for a month but that is it. Why will i play a easy casual game when i can wait and play a real immersive mmorpg. Once classic comes out i will pay the monthly fee but not to play current wow, only for the classic and for the one’s that play current wow no big deal if they don’t like classic they do’t lose anything they can keep playing the current one . Bonus for me i can play it also if i want to roflllllllllllllll
Yup, this is me as well. Retail will likely simply become a way to farm tokens. I’ll do what I must there to keep that going, and probably play through new content when it comes out. I suspect I’ll be spending most of my time in Classic, though.
I’ll still play retail to make gold to buy tokens but that’s about it.
At least until I can determine if 9.0 is a solid upgrade from BfA. 8.2 may seem like a step in the right direction in that it’s less crappy but still not out of crap, but it doesn’t look like enough to keep me playing both and I can only choose one once release comes.
I’m hoping long term as I get more of my classic objectives completed that retail will improve and I can eventually play both comfortably. Just saying, unless Ion is a complete tool and can’t stop screwing it up from now until the servers shut down, there will still come a time in classic where I’ve got most of my stuff, and I hope retail can come back strong and be at least nice for a changeup (or even better TBC Classic releases).
Pessimistic on retail greatly improving, but one can always hope.
Well I unsubbed after playing bfa for a month so I don’t even want to play retail wow anymore.
Classic forums would be very toxic if people couldn’t post without subs, seeing how those with subs still gang up on people and ask for changes. It was pretty toxic before classic announcement with people saying it would never happen and gang up demoralizing those in it.
I’ll play modern WoW because my friends do, but only on the condition that Unholy DK is fun to play(unlike now.)
Fortunately, Blizzard seems to be getting the notion that this “borrowed power” system isn’t a bright idea. I actually liked Legion a lot, but that was under the impression that all the character growth and class focus would be kept and moved forward. In hindsight, had I known we would’ve lost everything, it was terrible.
