How long before we write the Community Council as a PR stunt?

The one that really kills me is the radio silence to Bluster’s detailed post laying out so many of the things with PvP and its gearing right now. Myself and every IRL friend I had that was willing to play quit this Xpac.
I’ve re-subbed for 1 month (already canceled renew) to see if I enjoy setting up a level 20 twink toon, because endgame this xpac is the worst I’ve seen by far.

Yes it has most definitely been noted. Tinfoil hat aside, it probably doesn’t mean anything. Suspicious nonetheless!

What makes most players and ex-players upset is the potential WoW had and has to be better.

Of course not. Would you want to come to these forums and brag about the content you built when it released it took 3 more iterations on live to become somewhat kinda fun?

No way any one will expose themselves to ridicule even when it is well deserved.

FF is an MMO. Oops.

Do you want to keep on stretching the goalposts, or just get back to the question of the thread?

I was hoping to see more interaction from the WoW teams. Will see how it plays out, not much else to do about it on my end.

apparently this makes us toxic and is the reason the devs don’t want to communicate. We expect them to do their jobs, we’re so horrible.

MMOs have always been niche, Blizzard just had unlimited resources for marketing and successfully brought WoW into the view of mainstream gamers. They hired famous actors and pop culture icons to participate in their ad campaigns. Who wasn’t going to notice that William Shatner and Mr. T were claiming to play the game? They still do this with CoD. Kit Harrington, Kevin Spacey, Jeff Goldblum, Ron Pearlman, and several other big names have all had roles in the franchise. WoW is the exception, not the standard for MMO popularity.

I hadn’t noticed but you are correct 3 or 4 of them in fact. Most of them on classic characters too so you can’t really tell but it could be the same one person.

I wonder if the CC will get more attention the closer the Feb 3 earnings call is?

Or are they still scrambling to deal with the legal stuff?

They will release the lunar mount and a giant wall of PR about doing better. WoW players love abuse, hit me harder daddy.

It was a PR stunt before they made it.

Literally what is the point of the CC then? They could have ignored feedback on these forums without making a big stunt about how they were releasing the CC lmfao.

I mean it’s pretty obvious Blizzard knows exactly what their playerbase wants, because every expansion cycle is the same with a new feature coming out with serious problems, a year of complaining then them backflipping.

It’s quite literally the Blizzard formula, they didnt need the CC forum for this.

Man that guy cracks me up, he posted his twitch - saw the shade he was being thrown on the general forums and changed it to his twitter which is literally just him spamming his twitch going live. Best thing is his stream titles became “COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEMBER” then saw how much shade he was getting from the community for using his position as a flogging point and changed it off that now too.

Seriously how does a version of the game that has already been designed, written and done before have so much more feedback than the devs who are trying to figure out how to get it right going forward wtf LOL.

If i truly cared about the product I was producing and wanted to make sure the end user was enjoying themselves yes obviously I’d come on the forums to find out what I was doing wrong.

ok so they got what they wanted now where is the interaction part?

bro don’t even get me started on the state of writing in this game omg…

LOL…

Even if we don’t get a fleshed out response, we can hope they see it and take anything from it.

And yet I’m convinced that they still have no idea why players left. They thought it was a perfectly designed expansion, that people would “adapt” or get over anything they didn’t like. Nobody ever leaves, they keep telling themselves, just as the people channeling devs on the forums keep saying. Or if they do leave they’ll be right back. Yeah, right.

In many cases this is because the player plays on EU servers and the CC forum is on NA. They had to make a trial account to post here.
We were free to pick any character we want to post on. Some, like me, chose their mains, others a character they have long posted on the forums with, and others a fresh alt to avoid any harassment.

Honestly, how is the morale of the people who were picked for the CC at the moment? Watching the classic guys get all these detailed (and i mean holy hell they are detailed) while you guys are what, shouting into the void?

You’re not understanding correctly, he means people defending Blizzard in this thread, not on the CC.

They still see criticism coming from the CC and aren’t equipped to handle it so they ignore it.

If that is the case, and I’m not sure how you are getting your information I have no idea why they would bother with something like the CC in the first place. Lots of the WoW vets know how Blizzard operates and were prepared to just not getting any feedback.

But by deliberately making a big show with bells and whistles about how NOW they are going to HAND PICK people to LISTEN AND HAVE COMMUNICATION WITH then proceed to not do that it’s like shining a massive light on how poor their communication is.
