How Hard is to implement Mercenary Mode and Dual Spec

Why get shy with the good changes now.

Go back to classic forever.

@Sarevok

What u fail to understand is that TBC Classic, no matter how nostalgic it wants to be, it is a game of the present. And the present demands things that are not always known to us even when we think that we know all about the game. Such is the beauty of life.

You are an idiot who doesn’t understand the purpose of TBCC. It isn’t “to make TBCC better than TBC” it’s so we can get the same feeling when we log on to play as if I went back to my NES and popped in Mario. I don’t want to play Mario+ with new things, I want to play the original Mario. I can do that with an NES, I couldn’t do that with TBC until TBCC came out. So kindly get with the program, or piss off back to retail where you have your Merc mode and the ability to pick any spec you want.

I understand completely, what I’m saying is that you’re wrong on how you take TBCClassic. You should want it to be better than 15 Years ago, you wanna know why? because 15 years ago what the devs were doing was improving the game month after month.

If u give the game how it was on its last patch, but u don’t keep working on it, then you are not having the Experience u had 15 years ago, u are playing on a prolonged dead state that won’t react to player’s actions.

If u truly want to experience how the game was 15 years ago, u need developers on it catching the issues and offering solutions.

What are the issues? If one faction is overplayed over the other is an issue, u want to have both factions of ur game equally appealing

  1. Single spec doesn’t make sense when u offer different gameplays that require different specs. You are limiting the experience and potential of the player by forcing him play the game in just 1 way and if he wants to multi task he needs to Grind / work / farm gold for it, decreasing even more the time in what he really wants to play.

No 15 years ago, they where working to add raids and dungeons to the game, and we have a time table for when the devs will do the same exactly like happened 15 years ago.

And Mario doesn’t change regardless of player action. We don’t want TBCC changing based on player action, we expected long queues, we expect people to be dripping in gold, we expect raids to get cleared the day they are released. Why? Because people know the game and just like players today and speed run Mario they will speed run through every dungeon and be dripping in more gold than they could ever hope to spend if they respecced every day and bought new gear every time they did it. THATS FINE and it’s fine because it is expected as long as the experience of TBC remains in tact, which so far it mostly has with the stupid boosts being the biggest issue.

Wrong if I Want to experience the game as it was I need devs to stay the hell away from it and only be around to implement the raid release schedule, and to catch any bugs that where not originally a part of TBC. That’s it, that is the entire job of a TBCC dev if they do anything else they are wrong. Asking them to do anything else is wrong.

No, no we don’t. We want both factions to be as they where when the game was released. Players can pick whatever they want and they have to deal with the consequences of those choices. It’s that simple.

I know this will blow your mind but TBC came out at a time when the RPG in MMORPG was taken seriously. You pick a spec and role and you stick with it. The gold cost was there as an option if you needed to change but you should not be spamming to change all the time and switching roles. That was the intended design philosiphy of Vanilla and TBC and why it absolutely should not be changed period.

I think we all know that dual spec and merc mode is DEFINITELY something blizzard might do. They’ve made some very questionable changes. They’ve also made changes that most people didn’t even want.
All I’m saying is don’t get surprised if/when it happens lol

As you have already been told in this thread neither of the solutions offered by blizzard actually fixed the issues,

Merc mode just added queues to the alliance side as well for pvp it did reduce the horde queue slightly but not significantly. Expansion of the battle group made the queues as small as possible (and the crossover between oce and NA gives longer peak times).

Dual spec provides no improvement to the player experience if your a tank player your already specced as tank, if your a dps player your just going to have pve dps and pvp dps specs as your dual specs. Stop trying to pretend your going to get more good tanks from this (hell ret paladins and arms warriors can tank atm if they want to).

i dont believe in long answers or reading ur wall so all im gonna say is u are completely dellusional if u think both of these changes are not going to be added at some point into TBC

And we have a picture perfect example of the type of person TBCC is not for. If you don’t have the patient to read a rather short reply, you sure as hell don’t have the patient for TBCC. Piss off to retail, you are not wanted here.

lol this dude funny as hell lol

Ur not smart at all. If blizz adds anything it’s going to be free faction xfers from horde to ally, and no faction xfers from ally to horde.

100% zero idea what u talking aobut. dual spec is for players that play pve and pvp content which require different builds. there are other examples, but this is the one that becomes urgent.

identity should not be forced throufgh player limitation

Agreed. We really need Death knights in TBC.
