Well, it’s unofficial WoW policy that you exploit early and suffer no consequences for doing so but you will face some if you hesitate. You know, because you’ll fall behind and Blizzard isn’t going to roll back squat.
Hopefully they get the bronze grind right from the start this time.
most controversial change?
Allow artifact weapons and just maximize all “points” they had from the get-go. Let us focus on farming currency for mounts/mogs/cosmetics and of course, let us bring that toon into live when we’re done. (with no artifact of course) LOL
Is there a link for this ‘all but confirmed’? I read wowhead most days and haven’t seen it mentioned.
Check the taliesin and evitel interview with ion. He teases it. I wish I could post a link but the forum isn’t letting me.
Sure some things may be exploits, but pretty much everything seems to be called an exploit these days.
I don’t think early farming for crackling shards for the Alunira mount early in the expansion was an exploit.
Yet you ask almost anyone today and they will tell you anyone who farmed shards early was exploiting, even if getting shards was a byproduct of farming the bee mount or the Seizbarg mount and that gave them an easy way to get all 10.
I think you’re splitting hairs here.
Everyone knows the “exploit early” thing is a meme. The point is you do whatever it is you want to call it early or fall behind because Blizzard never rolls it back.
I want ridiculousness. I want crazy, insane, game-breaking power that makes players giggle.
Raids were a BLAST during remix because, well, it was more social and less difficult. Everyone was just powering up to ridiculous levels and helping others do the same.
Although as far from WoW as it seems, I love when they break away. Brings out good in the community and seems to revitalize why we play together in the first place. For fun!
I hope this is what we get, but I have a feeling we will just get Pandaland again.
Loved Legion though and I would be all about a Legion remix to get all the mogs and toys etc.
I agree with your zone questing only premise, though I suppose if they do add hall content they could just whip up some excuse that the Infinites will act as a pseudo order hall for the Evokers. Slap in a few npcs that grant some functionality beyond the map we already get in Dalaran and give us a bargin bin weapon.
doesnt mean its going to happen.
I thought Blizzard did roll back a bit on the froggers?
Not that it really matters, once they buffed Bronze gains it was easy to catch up.
Thinking back to the MoP Remix, the farming of mobs for currencies was the big issue.
I think Legion had about 9 different currencies. From a quick check of a character they were:
Ancient Mana - vendor currency for a small list of items
Curious Coin - vendor currency for a small list of items/mount
Legionfall War Supplies - for activating one of the Towers
Nethershard - vendor currency for a variety of items
Order Resources - vendor currency for class mounts, pets, etc.
Seal of Broken Fate - reroll item
Sightless Eye - vendor currency, for various game items
Veiled Argunite - vendor currency, for gear, etc.
Wakening Essence - for upgrading Legendaries
Of the above, some are likely to have the vendors deactivated, as they were in the MoP version. I’d say the Sightless Eye, Seal of Broken Fate and Veiled Argunite are the ones most likely not to be active, especially the latter as they will want to provide gear by other means.
It will be interesting to see if the Mage Tower will be available in the Remix because they’ve said so many times that the original MT rewards wouldn’t return. That’s a big ?? to hear about at some stage.
Nethershard farming could be one of the things they would need to address due to the items it was currency for and the fact that it was very farmable.
Where did this come from?
I could have sworn they didn’t do that. Their “fix” was to, like you said, buff bronze gains.
I think they did both. I distinctly remember people here whining that their massive amount of hoarded power was legitimate and Blizzard stole it from them. Maybe it’s googlable
That’s true it could all just be a giant troll from ion maybe the color has no significance at all. Maybe it’s the alpha/beta kick off.
These words are not my own but borrowed from youtubers. It’s worthy of a discussion though.
