How do you report someone on these forums

Okay so I want to know how do i directly report someone on these forums for harrassment, I find it disgusting that its so difficult to directly report someone for blatand harrassment. Does blizzard even care at all ? Can someone please help me here ??

Also no im not overly sensitive but when someones literal goal on these forums is to just be a complete jerk to people then there is a problem.

The only people who get reported around here are those who disagree with the hive. Harassment complaints are so 2005. The best solution is to avoid this cesspool as much as you can. Just check in one a week or two to see if you missed anything.

Click the little flag for a few options for the automated system flags. Real moderation doesn’t seem to happen here anymore. Maybe we’ll get rid of this horrible new system eventually.

I have been wondering this as well but the flagging for spam/trolling etc does not seem to get anything done. And since calling someone out for anything is itself a violation of forum rules (which makes zero logical sense) you’re pretty much left with the overlook the scrubs option and hope that some rational minded forum mod (if they even exist) will perma ban the offenders.

I understand where your coming from, FFXIV is way more strict when is comes to people causing problems. They aren’t afraid to suspend nor ban someone.

What you can do is go to the customer service forum and make a post asking for help from a cm.

This is why these forums are so immature.

That’s not due to the reporting system itself. It’s far more to do with enforcement. In my opinion, Bliz lets as much as possible go before dropping a hammer. The result is that people figure out that they can get away with quite a bit… and they will take advantage of that as far as they can… and get away with a lot of it… and the cycle continues. Unfortunate

Because it has the potential to spiral out of control, thus it’s not allowed at all. For example, if we were able to call others out, every day I’d be all over this loser Cinthoric who bots and sells runs for rlm.

As pointed out above, there’s no shortage of people complaining about their silences/bans around here and social media. And that’s just the vocal ones; there’s going to be many that never say anything as well.

There are no CMs, moderators or game masters on the support forums. You can inquire as to the procedures and policies, but all that will come of it is being told to use the flagging system, or in the case of real life threats, a very specific support ticket.

I made a thread about a story of imagining going to KFC. It was a humorous thread meant to take a dig at that other thread about going to McDonalds. Lots of people had a fun in it joking around. It got reported and deleted by the mods for “spam”.

These forums are a tough crowd.

If you believe you are being singled out and harassed on the forums, put in a ticket with the links to the specific posts. I would also take screenshots of the posts as back-up.

You may or may not get resolution from this method, but at least you will have actually informed Blizzard of your issue and placed the ball in their court.

There is no way to report a particular person:

You can only report their post, for content.

If their post is not actually bad enough that Blizzard does anything, that means that you should probably get over it.

As has been suggested, you can report the post. Not sure if you can send messages to the Blues, but if it’s bad enough see if you can talk to a Blue about it.
