Anyone who works with the alliance is a traitor. Everyone who aided them in taking out Orgrimmar should be put to the blade and their heads be put on spikes.
We know. You are spoiled little people who always cry when something doesnât go your way. You represent the worst of this community.
Got it. You want more alliance supremacy in a game that already caters to you at every step possible. Funfact. Blizzard is not obliged to give in to your demands. Be happy you got your void elves instead of trying to steal what the Horde rightfully owns.
Your lies convince no one. Maghâhar and Vulpera donât have a capital. They are homeless and are by far the smallest by numbers. Just a reskin that appease only a handful. Horde should have gotten all of Draenor as compensation for the fact that the alliance gained TWO weapons of mass destruciton with the void elves and the Vindicaar.
Void Elves did what they did to help their fellow Elves.
You filthy, dirty, and ugly Blood Elves ruined a great thing.
Just letting you know if you arenât familiar with him, but Erevien is a legitimately mentally ill IRL fascist who refuses to take his medication and has been plaguing the forums for a few years now and itâs in your best interest to not take him seriously.
We are the OG elves. Choke on that. You only got that new stuff because you kept harassing the devs.
I am the last defender of Horde pride.
I have always wondered what he has on Blizzard that has allowed him avoid the ban hammer for years.
Well, he does go on long vacations.
I wouldnât be surprised if weâre on Everin 3 or 4 (and battlenet account) by now.
Anyway, he just has dwarf envy. Which is only natural.
Also, Vaxxu is so prone to hyperbole and inflammatory statements that Iâm not sure theyâre playing it straight, either. Maybe this plot twist will work out.
They also made some HE threads on GD & then switched to this character bumping their own thread presenting themselves as a dif independent poster so Iâm not entirely in belief theyâre acting in good faith either
Which is why Iâve only replied to others in this thread
The frustrating aspect is that he has been permabanned at least once already, but he simply bought another account to keep posting. And thereâs no reason to think he wouldnât just buy another, and another. But heâs gotten better at toeing the forum rules so itâs harder to justly report him as thereâs no ban evasion option, and it doesnât seem to be a factor for the times he gets suspended anyway.
Iâm not treating it as a personal slight, but I do think Blizzard does and should listen to their fanbase because weâre where the money comes from. This forum isnât just here for our enjoyment, itâs also here so that we can either air grievances or compliment success, give feedback and suggestions. Most of the great things about Dragonflight so far are thanks to complaints from BfA and SL. About talents, and professions, ui, being forced to do certain activities, borrowed power, lack of customization options, faction imbalance, and content droughts.
Theyâre entitled to steer the game in ANY direction they like, and weâre free to stop playing or purchasing media if we deem our enjoyment is waning. Iâm not saying no High Elves is that point for me or anyone, but if itâs something a large enough percentage of people want, then Blizz can only win by giving it. Within reason. And our whole disagreement is whether itâs within or not within reason to do it. And theyâve shown time and time again that theyâre willing to break their own view of that definition when their companyâs bottom line was at stake.
And I donât think anyone is getting screwed over more than the other. The Horde gets screwed over in Blizzâs unfortunate writing choices about the Hordeâs nature and the fact that theyâve whittled down your character roster. And the Alliance gets screwed over in other ways. But if Blizz deleted all Blood Elves tomorrow, the Alliance would still have all of our High Elves hanging around and weâd still want to play as them, whether the Horde has them or not. We donât just want them because you have them.
I mean yeah, theyâre not totally exiled. But I meant exiled in the sense that they canât fully return home without ditching the Alliance they believe and fought for.
I agree, I find it a compelling aspect of their story, and itâd be a good direction for an allied race storyline or even just a random non-allied race High Elf story. High Elves alone may not be very compelling, but add in that drama in a world where the Blood Elves are part of the Horde now and they control Silvermoon, and it becomes a bit more interesting.
Sure and thatâs all valid. I use the blue dragonhawk, one of the coursers, and any other mount that would match a high elf mage. It works and I CAN live with it. But why does heritage armor exist? We can just find armor that matches our race to the best of our ability, they didnât need to go out of their way to make heritage armor for allied or core races. I can just use my imagination. But they made the decision to appeal to the people who wanted more options for their race and one of those options was unique race specific armor. It gives us an option to reach peak immersion with our race.
Again, the part Iâm advocating more for and would be simpler to add is the NPC method of changing a few things about a character. We have NPCs that change what instance of a zone youâre in, we have NPCs that que you for the opposite factionâs BGs, we have NPCâs that stop our experience gain, among other things. Just as easy it is for me to pretend Iâm not a Void Elf, it would be fairly easy for Blizz to implement this hypothetical NPC that changes one word in your racial title, changes the color of our racial, and triggers a blue version of the Blood Elf heritage armor to show up in our appearance sets rather than the void one. All of this already exists, itâs a matter of changing words and changing colors.
Is it minor? Sure it is. Anyone can say itâs not worth it. But there are also people who say pet battles, elemental storms, and warfronts werenât worth it.
Yes, we actually can. Theyâre a corporation and will do whatever they deem necessary to keep us paying them to play their game.
Again, we got new talent trees because itâs what we wanted. They got rid of the mission table because itâs what we wanted. They got rid of borrowed power systems because itâs what we wanted. They gave us cross faction because itâs what we wanted. They gave us more barbershop customization options because itâs what we wanted. They gave us ui and profession updates because thatâs what we wanted. Theyâre giving us more monk races, because itâs what we wanted. They gave us more options to earn and upgrade gear, because itâs what we wanted. They gave us the High Elf barbershop options because itâs what we wanted. They gave us Darkfallen Ranger skins because itâs what we wanted. . They gave us the Trading Post because earning more cosmetics through playing the game is what we wanted
Ty for the info, only just came back to these forums after years away.
I mean, this time itâs not Mags or Lore (by writing style), so at least itâs⌠different people lampshading views I kinda doubt they hold?
Anyway, my point, as ever, is that we could really stand some more short stories or âstay a while and listenâ to clarify small world building details.
And more customizations for everyone.
Agreed, I mean realistically every race should be able to get tattoos. And Iâd kill for more side race customizaion like the Dark Trolls and Wildhammer getting some kind of heritage armor and love. Or thicc Trolls.
Yes, you do. I can hop on a new Void Elf and instantly look like a High Elf and so can you.
But you already got what you wanted. Playable High Elves: 1 for Horde, 1 for Alliance.
No, they just come to the forums to cry about âFaction Imbalance.â
And they gave you playable High Elves on the Alliance to keep you playing. Now go on and get to playing.
And my main point is in this area, thereâs a bunch of different requests from the fans that canât all be granted because some of them cancel out others.
But they didnât fight purely for the Alliance, they also fought for Silvermoon as they believed that this was something that would protect their home as well.
The blood elves fight for the Horde because they actually realized the alliance will always look out for the humans first before they do anything else. And it sticks. Alleria and Vereesa got convinced because their husbands are humans whom they born half elf children. But those who carry the legacy of Quelâthalas had kept their culture and honored it until today. The Sinâdorie will prevail. And some day I pray they have the guts to overthrow Bob and end his tyranny of peace.
Nah. Those that left with Alleria ditched their people to live with humans. It is no surprise that the biggest high elf diaspora lives in Stormwind now with Theramore gone.
Apropos of nothing, Sylvanasâs beau was also a human.
If Lirath had lived, he probably would have found a human, too. Something about the Windrunners.
Actually, with Lorâthemar shacked up with Thally⌠Are there any major blood elf figures who arenât someoneâs dear old parents with a blood elf significant other?
Effectively all Void Elves are former High Elves or can self-identify as such since the only difference is they can go void when in combat. Outside combat all Thalassians look the same with minor changes depending on their affiliation.
I agree with you that the High Elf boat has long since passed and right now my toon wears the Silver Covenant tabard he can ride a QuelâDorei steed and Dragonhawk. What more does any High Elf need? I feel like this debate needs to end. Most partisans have accepted this hill isnât worth dying on.
