How do people tolerare dragonflight?

idk i think it was a sidequest. ok so name of quest is sneaking in.

An in my point of view its an annoying gimmick. Aside from the speed, I see nothing special about it. Why should magical creatures need their fuel tanks filled? Why should dragons - that we have been flying around the game since forever - suddenly needs skills?

I reckon if you gave standard flight a 500 speed and allowed it in the Isles, most people wouldn’t touch their dragonriding mounts again, except to do flying quests.

The first version of it was great but they had to nerf it into the ground to make it what it is right now. People in the alpha and beta complained about the nerfs, Blizzard did not listen.

The brief flights in Starfox Adventure was also really fun. I love that game.

May have something to do with physics but don’t quote me on that.

Because it’s more engaging than hitting Num Pad, making sure I’m at a proper altitude, and alt-tabbing for a few minutes as I go flight path speed to my destination.

Dragonflight has flaws, but it’s a more engaging and efficient flight system.

someone earlier in the week was chucking a wobbly about how bad dr is.

they had 1 glyph.

one. singular.

…when i dared to do something crazy like ask if they could get someone to fly them around to get the rest, it was apparently offensive enough for them to put me on ignore :upside_down_face:

Its a much faster way to travel and DF maps were designed with that speed in mind.
I personally much prefer it to the old way of flying, tho I think by now they could just allow the old flying too on the DF maps for those who really prefer it.

It is one of the very few expansion features which worked out well imo.

It’s faster by something of like a factor of 5.

Plus I find it fun and makes flying less mind numbing.

Yes dragon riding is account wide and so are glyphs you only have to collect them once.

However collecting glyphs does nothing by themselves they are akin to talent points you have go into the dragon riding tree and allocate them.

Yes there are enough glyphs to learn every talent on the tree

And dragon riding is much much faster than regular flying. Regular flying is 310 percent speed dragon riding at max speed is 850 percent

well,I have no idea what a tolerare is ? polerare,tellerare,surerare,thatarare  :dracthyr_shrug:

You should make gathering glyphs a high priority. Getting those last few bubbles at the bottom of the tree is very important. The game does not really make it clear how important this is to the overall experience and easy for experienced players to forget what flying was like without them.

I don’t like Dragonriding and I have all but I think 3 glyphs from ZC. It doesn’t matter what settings I change it makes me dizzy.

No, Bread, this is not funny, it lurks beneath the spectrum of funny below ‘knock knock’ jokes.
It saddens me now, to reply to this five hours later, when the damage is done. I fear you will never be funny now, let alone come back from this tragic fail. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The only thing I have getting trouble to is HOI from Valdrakken but that’s just because I’m an idiot who doesn’t go to the top of the tower first.

At 4 vigor you can pretty much reach any dungeon or location with minimal input.

But also, I’m not really going out and about the world? I only really bother with instanced content, and the time it takes for me to get to any given dungeon is a thousand times better in DF than any other expansion since M+ has been introduced.

You can! Fast!

So don’t! Ascend to the heavens, point, and you’re off! Can get to Nelth, HoI, and BHH from Vald with relatively few button presses. More then reg flying, but more than twices as fast!

Debatable!

Because you don’t have them all more than 7 months in!

Because the Dragon Isles zones are all in their own shards and the world is one step closer to XIV’s instanced zones!

ROFL!

I point in the general direction of where I want to go. I jump up, press the “zoom” button a few times, and get there 4x faster than normal flying.

When I first “discovered” this, it was so amazing and trivialized getting to anywhere in dragon isles. I thought I was so smart.

i am trying to gather as many as i can.

The two biggest things to get the hang of dragon flying early on are.

1: Don’t even use surge forward, just press space and go forward naturally by getting enough speed to reach thrill of the skies.

2: When you go up from standstill or need a lot of height, move your mouse forward to lean into the direction and get thrill of the skies faster. When you want go really high just keep pressing space as you feel the acceleration from the previous one start to go away.
