It’s fun, engaging and super fast.
I get a similar thing to that sometimes, usually running about 30 feet away and then back fixes it.
i think i got thrill of the skies. was flying around oshrahn plains? sanctumn of the stars?
Yep you would, it’s built in, but later when your dragon is in that phase (basically a blue shimmer around them when flying fast enough), your vigor regens. When you have enough Glyphs, it’s very fast.
is the glyphs account bound?
Dragonriding is garbage if you get even a small amount of lag. Had more than a few occasions where lag will ground me, if I can’t push buttons.
Yeah, once you have a glyph you can use it on any alt.
well lag mostly happens when im trying to complete campaign quests. ill click on npc and its like it takes either 30secs to respond or it requires ui reload command. and my latency is at 29ms. so idk whats going on.
I love dragonriding. It’s fun swooping and gliding around. And, yeah, this is coming from someone that played flight simulator, but also made heavy use of gliders and such during pathfinder (and some even with flying unlocked). I guess I always wanted momentum based flight in WoW, but never thought it was a possibility.
That said, it gets easier getting around with the talents filled in, eventually you’ll get six vigor, and a few things to make it regenerate better.
i mean i dont hate it but…when i want to fly up it seems annoying.
Hold right click and tilt your camera about 45 degrees up before using Skyward Ascent. You’ll gain tons of speed and height. At full glyphs you can do this almost indefinitely.
I played a lot of Starfox as a kid so I’m used to this stuff.
And this one monster fighting game that had a secret flying dragon kinda monster. It could fly in a similar way and I would just pick the big city on a hill map and fly around for funsies.
Disagree. Dragonriding is some of the most fun I’ve ever had in WoW.
okay. that doesnt make it fun for me.you can disagree all you want doesnt matter to me.
Next time you experience lag, there should be something on the microbar (where the button for dungeons and stuff are) that you can mouseover and it will tell you if it’s home or world lag. If your MS for either one is considerably higher (considerably as it’s normal for world MS to be a bit higher than home) then take note. I would refer to this post to troubleshoot.
From what you describe, it sounds like genuine lag. A lot of people call framerate issues lag but it sounds like you’re having actual network issues and not just performance issues.
Also if you’re not living on the east coast or central US, near Chicago where your server is hosted, then your connection will naturally be poorer than if you had a server hosted closer to you.
Sometimes there’s a bug where NPCs won’t react to you because they think they are already talking to you but it doesn’t display on your end. Try moving away from the NPC and then get closer to talk to them again next time this happens, that fixes it for me.
i am living in wisconsin. so 4 hours away from where datacenter is. fairly close.
“doesnt matter to me” as you made multiple threads about this and even insulted people who made threads pointing out how weird old flying is after dragon riding.
You don’t get to pull the “it doesnt matter” card after all that
Do a barrel roll!
also i logged onto game just now did a quest in oshran plains. and got another glyph on way back from centaur camp and freeing this kodo. dunno what it does but it does something.
If it’s the koddo I’m thinking of, it leads to a mount. Eventually. It’s a time-gated week long thing.
