You get instant queues. Chest that give you 50 conquest and an item that sells for 1k gold in healer boxes. Tons of honor from instant queues so you can buy bloodstones. Healers crying for more incentives is just crazy.
Maybe they just want to have some fun idk
Its not that hard to understand i guess
If you don’t have fun healing, don’t heal. Or at the very least don’t q shuffle.
Because too much is never enough.
i do think the pacing isnt fun for most of the healers, where sometimes spiky unpredictable dmg is coming or the fact that u have to react instantly
like when your weak aura aihorn tells you that burst is incoming, if u ps 1 sec too late, it can already kill the momentum, and loses you the game
past expansion arena was just slower/sometimes more predictable, and the healer had more breathing room, just my guess atleast a reason why i dont heal anymore
Maybe that’ll change next xpac with all the pruning. The bursty 1 shot damage is kinda necessary for games to end with how overloaded every specs kit is defensively currently. Also it’s mainly exasperated in shuffle since it’s a no coms situation with completely random people who you have no clue about their skill level. In 2’s and 3’s getting 100-0d is a lot harder.
in current state, damage can 100 to 0 in a matter of seconds on top of sitting in so much cc that we are super overtuned to a point where we heal to much that 99% of games we are perma cc targets. doing a ton fo healing sounds good on paper but it creates a point where almost ever game you sit more than half the games in cc ( with good teams) all you need is a few seconds to top people off so you get triple sheep into triple fear into a kick and then a stun or two you are literally sitting for whole minutes of not being able to cast. I am not even speaking on balance here because balance really isnt that bad (excluding void) its just not a fun gameplay loop. damage being soo high you have to be 1000% attentive and react to any cd or even a luck few crits in milioseconds on top of spending so much time in cc healing is super draining to play.
Agreed, maybe they should just heal instead of being braindead dps.
I think it’s fun. Sure really bad dps players complain a lot but they’re very easy to ignore because they’re not very good.
The burst as a healer feels fine tho.
god forbid anything is able to die in under 30 minutes healers just aren’t having fun.
Loooooooool

I don’t think you even read the whole post you just cherry picked parts to lol at…..
the point is that healing should be reduced in throughput but also reduce the cc to go along with it, make it where we actually need to cast a bit and do things for people to not die. as of right now healer throughput is through the roof to balance around the excessive volume of stops in the game.
If you are on dps you can just blast past low mmr, and if it’s a healer problem that makes you go 3-3 then the rounds are over almost instantly. It’s way easier to carry another bad dps if the healer keeps you alive for awhile on dps.
but if you are on healer you are grinding out 80+ damp rounds just for the same 3-3
and also because the average 2100 shuffle war/ret/hunter is really bad at the game and a 2100 healer is at least sentient
Why would I want to play against someone sentient if I can play against bad players instead?
I think the biggest complaint about healing is the same reason why there are so few healers;
The responsibility.
At the end of the day, it’s your job to keep your team and yourself alive, and healers are often the first person blamed, which doesn’t feel good.
If it isn’t your fault, then it’s infuriating to have that implied, especially by someone else who threw. If it’s your fault and you know it, it just feels really bad. If it’s your fault and you don’t know what went wrong, then that feels super defeating.
Further, it’s a lot harder to learn how to heal than it is to just do a damage rotation, because so many comps/specs/matchups play out SO differently and inconsistently.
It takes a different flavor of mentality to approach the role for sure.
Also in a Mythic for example, you either wont get invited or get kicked instantly if you have messed up a few times.
No ones perfect and when the role is as important as a good dps (that will help you stay alive) yeah the responsibility is a big deal.
Idk man people at 2100 at both sides are about the same skill wise. I have no idea what I’m doing on rshaman, have the wrong gear, and I’m at 2300 mmr.
I will say dps players are incredibly annoying and blame others even tho they’ll line you at the worst times possible or not press their defensives. But that’s also on me for trading poorly and not doing the right thing.
It’s a solo game mode and how consistent you are as a player matters equally in both roles.
Im currently queuing as rshaman and have so much in my toolkit it’s insane how much of an influence I have over the game. Healing feels so good and fun. As I’ve stated tho responsibly is equal it comes down to consistency.
It really comes down to a culture issue where we’ve basically convinced ourselves that healing isn’t this or that when it’s actually completely fine.
tbh healing is so much fun. It’s stupid how gearing doesn’t allow me to play until conquest uncaps
Hey, wait, just wait a little
WOW!
Yea great argument. Mindblowing.
Like, how anyone never notice that? Wow
Thats all, folks. Gleyardorix resolve the healing participation issue, our biggest pvp problem of the last 5 years, with that giga chad geniality
Thanks for your service, sir.
fun? do you think is fun for DSP to see how nothing they do out of “cc the healer window” matter?…this game isn’t fun for anybody.
Try to play a off meta healer above 2100 and im sure your concept of fun/unfun will be shaken
And you already give me the reason, is not fun for anybody.
Hello? I think it’s fun. The only thing that’s not fun about healing are bad dps who cry but they can easily be ignored.
