It used to be when I clicked on the character transfer button a screen would show up where you picked the toon and could click an option that said “also change faction” however now when I click on the single character transfer option it just goes straight to payment.
Is there still a way to do the combo service or do I have to do a server change first then a faction change? I don’t want to accidentally do one and be on cooldown for 3 days waiting for the other.
In order to allow bundled transfers the system had to be redesigned to allow Transfer Tokens. The current Faction Change system is not compatible with that so the combination is no longer possible.
You’ll need to complete a Transfer then Faction Change.

Sorry, I was just updating. If you review the Character Transfer Information and Restrictions article you’ll notice that it lists a cooldown for character transfers. It also lists a cooldown if you recently boosted the character.
The Article for Faction Changes does list Transfer as one of the services that will be prevented for 72 hours if you Faction Change, so be sure to Transfer first.
I just transferred a level 50 character from Cenarius over to Silver-Hand. After the transfer was complete I attempted to apply a faction change, however I received the error, “This character is still on cooldown for this service.”
Based on what you have stated above, it is my understanding that a server transfer should not invoke a 72-hour cooldown for a faction change. Why, then, am I getting the error? And is this something that Customer Service can resolve?
(I have recently done a server transfer and immediate faction change with another character between two different servers, and did not run into the issue, so hence why I am confused.)
… and yet you still charge us extra for it? If this is caused by a something your guys did, then maybe offer it for free.
How are you being charged extra? There wasn’t a discount by sandwiching the two services, it was just operating as a combined thing rather than two separate transactions. The fact that some services are now bundled together in multiple just doesn’t allow for it. I’m really at a loss where this “extra” is that you’re figuring.
I think your overthinking it. I used that service about 3 years ago and as i recall it was like $20. Now it seems more expensive to do both.
You might have hit it during a sale, because it was normally $55 to do both. $25 for one part, $30 for the other.
No more than it was back when Legion launched. It’s possible you may have caught them while they were on sale, but there has never been a bundle discount.
As Leilleath mentioned, if you paid less you likely made the purchase while there was a sale, which we do occasionally on our various services.
The price of the services, both purchased individually or as a combo have otherwise been the same since the services were introduced.
