How did people traverse blade's edge?

When I started back in Wrath, I couldn’t fly anywhere, not even in Outland, when I came across that zone. How did I traverse it? Slowly and carefully.

This comes from everyone. What about the “open world solo” players that expect bis gear from world quests? lol

Again, comes from all walks.

From all walks again. Just don’t forget about the retail players who cry about addons.

Most of your guild are extremely casual and do very little challenging content.

You didn’t have one good example.

WoW doesn’t have loot boxes. I don’t play the games that do.

Why’d you take shots at my casual guildmates instead of me? Rude! :joy:

And no yeah, all of what I listed are heavily Classic Andy opinions champ  . Doesn’t mean others can’t hold them as well.

I mean…many aspects of game could be considered a loot box. But I get what you’re saying.

Because it was a fair example. I’m in your guild.

Everything you listed are still the same whines that retail players cry about every single week on the forum.

You don’t understand the skill involved in wrangling 40 players who know there’s more to the game than auto-attacks and one big spell every now and then (/s)

Well then you know they are a swell group of folks and I enjoy playing with them. They are “Good Enough” for me

Also who dis? :eyes:

It’s a pity the forums got overhauled for BFA because the “back in my day we never complained about the devs’ worst ideas” is a complete lie and the only thing it proves is that some of you are losing your inner child.

The forum has been a #1 hit for whiners since the beginning of the wow forum. Most of the wow forum has always been complaining. Blizzard just allows more temper tantrums than most other mmorpg’s.

For sure. I remember lurking the forums as far back as WotLK, and I assume it was no different before then.

I strangled mine in his sleep after becoming enraged by what I saw.

Good, glad you admit it’s not a generation thing, because all moaning about “young people these days” does is make you sound old on top of the fact that it was a lie

We had flying it was just super super slow.

just to make sure im talking about the tunnel between ruann weald and that one bird spot. not talking about the initial tunnel between zangarmarsh and blades edge border. I thought that tunnel was kind of cool.

Thought it was hilarious that an example popped up in general immediately, had to round back :joy:

You use to have to traverse it up hill both ways.

TBC was hard

Traveling on foot was tough back then. Yeah, vanilla days.

I kinda remember thinking I needed to get somewhere above my level as an Alliance baby and walking where crocs would try to eat me every few feet. A long corpse run to get where I really didn’t need to go. Horribly frustrating but stubborn won out. Got there, realized my mistake and hearthed home. Also got scolded by a higher level guy for being in the wrong zone. Good times - wasted a day.

There were lots of other tales like that. But then that’s WoW. Today’s game is easy mode (>_< only been back for a few weeks).

well yeah it was hard. but there difference between hard and unneccesary tedium and even back then when i first joined back just before sunwell patch i found blades edge to be really irritatingly tedious. just skipped the whole quest area with that bridge and then tunnel to the bird/ogre place. The chain that had you go from thunderlord stronghold all the way to ravens wood and back repeatedly. most of the quest’s didnt have you go that far save for a few in nagrand, netherstorm’s quests (some) and a few in shadowmoon towards the end. but like wasn’t shadowmoon’s quests kind of built with flying in mind the second half anyways? by that time you usually were 69/70 and had flying.

Yes but to be fair, you find a lot to be irritatingly tedious
