There is NOTHING in the Cinematics that supports your argument. The only Night Elves you see in the chapter cinematics are miss Fan Service in Classic, and the bare glimpse of Night Elf archers in the Lordaeron cinemetic for BOA.
And again, that âonly in the last 10 years or soâ has to completely ignore the mostly male armies of Lord Ravencrest in the War of the Ancients, and in more recent times, BOTH Staghelm Brothers, Jarod Shadowsong, and Malfurion Stormrage himself in the Kalimdor wars against the Legion and the Quiraj. Daleryn Summermoon was the arms commander during the Thornwar defense but even she deferred to Malfurion. and the Night Elves that fougtht during that incursion came from both genders.
Where rulership is mentioned in the written material it is clear that males and females are co-equals in status even if there are gender preferrnces in occupation. No one bats an eye towards those males who choose to take up arms or shows any surprise that a female takes up the rank of ArchDruid.
This is my thread⊠Where this is not the intended discussion.
My views are not challenged because they are correct. You are wrong in every conceivable way. Unless you have something to say regarding the topic at hand, stop posting here.
But I would advise just generally not posting things about Night Elves, because lets face it, you play a purple human, not a night elf.
Youâve created thought experiment topic which postulates how this situation can be solved âtogetherâ; and the future of the NEs (regardless of where you stance is on it) IS important to the topic of finding a remedy âtogetherâ. Iâve already stated the ONLY thing I want for the NEs concretely (the very first seed of a rejuvenated Gâhanir to be their next World Tree), everything else is optional.
What it sounds like is youâve already made up your mind on this topic and wanted an echo chamber. Youâre fine when it comes to discussing structural flaws and changes that may need to come within the Horde (or the greater Alliance), but you tend to get very defensive when hypothetical routes for the NEs are discussed (especially if opinions donât deify the race quite to the level you do).
And FYI I mained a NE (two actually) from Vanilla to Cata (my first EVER character was an NE Hunter, which I played for years ⊠even if I was a trash player for a lot of that). I had Alliance Loremaster twice during that Cata period. Just because I have a different perspective on the NEs than you (and thus see potential different avenues for their future), does NOT mean Iâm trolling you.
Hey everyone please please, it is good to challenge oneâs perspective on things especially when it deals with the topic. However let us not get carried away and crazy. One thing Iâll say to remedy the situation that brought us here is to not fall into the trap Activision Blizzard created. BfA since its inception has been marketed for hatred, letâs keep a cool head and not fall into it.
This WAS a civil forum post until Akiyass started all the night elf deification and my way or the highway stuff. It is totally fine to have ideals of what your race should be but other people have differing opinions that they have brought to the thread. You could have taken the âagree to disagreeâ path as well, but I have seen you be as much a part of the argument as anyone else. Well I had fun in the beginning of this forum, now I guess Iâll just keep watching the circus. /grabspopcorn
But none of that applies to the Night Elves. They donât replicate tactics such as were employed there, and frankly even if they had it would probably have been ineffective given that the Horde wasnât really concerned with capturing the Night Elvesâ towns and territory so much as they were with driving the Night Elves out in totality. A captured town canât âspontaneously revoltâ with the assistance of irregular forces while your main lines are engaged, cutting off the enemyâs supply lines, if the enemy has completely displaced your people from the areas itâs invaded.
And thatâs how just about everyone does business on Azeroth. Populations donât really get subjugated, they get destroyed and driven away so that the area can be filled by the victorâs own forces.
This whole thing got me thinking. I made a different thread, because it was not entirely on the same topic. But hereâs an idea that will be hated.
In that scenario we could see Alliance internal conflict evolve from the perceived lack of further action on the part of the overall Alliance. Donât want to take up much more space, but I do like the idea of a more aggressive Kalâdorei wing of the Alliance, pulling slightly off of center while there is another large threat to be dealt with.
