still working. work as a cook in a retirement center here in Hawaii. streets still active people being dumb and using this time as a “vacation” it’s not as active as usual but lots of people on the roads still. some going to work some just going to the beach or hiking or w.e.
work is slowly… starting to get worse. only got 2 nurses at my side as we have 2 buildings and 2 kitchens. i work in the busy side due to it being cheaper and more residents the other side more expensive, nicer but less residents. the nurses on my side today went home extremely early. they went home at i think 2pm usually they stay until 630-7pm.
today residents are also not allowed to cross each other. we have assisted living meaning they need assistance for like a nurses aid to help them around and maybe basic tasks like eating and what not and the other residents are independent living meaning they can do things on their own. usually they can talk to each other, player cards, watch tv or w.e. but now they cannot they have to stay on their own sides
I work from home anyway, so the stay at home bit is fine. Also, I love being home, I’d make a good hermit. lol
I have WAY too many hobbies, WoW being at the top of the list. I’m loving the exp boost and working on leveling up a couple of alts.
The only thing that bugs me is the rest of the word. Primarily the market… Oh My Gosh. Total insanity. Guys I need 1 1/2 gallon of milk, green beans, carrots, bell pepper and a roast (I have potato’s.) Come on already, leave a little bit for someone else. /sigh
Oh, and work… ugh. I do customer support/game administrator for 4 family games. They, are going nutso. I work 7 days a week and usually it’s pretty quiet, most people do ok, just some that need some help/have questions. Now… the trolls are pouncing… 6 to 7 hr days 7 days a week is a bit much… Especially when you are used to around 3 to 4 hours a day. (Which is basically what I get paid for.)
Great financially but ugh… I may survive Corvid-19 only to succumb to overwork!
Either that or get fired if I actually end up typing to a player what I’m thinking (would really like to say…) lol

MAN I’m so happy I can still work too, at the Big Box Hardware store. I was moved to overnight before this, since our business increased enough to have overnight freight; As someone in the lumber department, who also closed/recovered lumber, they also moved me to the overnight. At first, this kind of irritated me but BOY am I happy for it now. Apart from food shopping, in the early morning hours (if I can stand to wait for Wal-Mart and the other STUPID SHOPS to not open until 7 am), I’m only around a few people at work and because I’m Lumber recovery I’m also far away from them.
Also, though my “lunch” is supposed to be at 1 AM I move it around by 40 minutes so I’m alone for the half hour lunch too. Mainly, I don’t want to give this persistent “series of colds”, that I’ve had for a month to other employees. It basically is just a cough thing now, but it makes you paranoid in light of covid-19 (also I feel my immune system might be compromised.)
I know that isn’t serious, but watch out for the people taking advantage of this paranoia. I just read that the newest thing is people knocking on your door, in white lab coats, saying they are testing for Covid-19 (then they rob you.) NO ONE has Covid-19 tests, they are very hard to get. So you won’t be getting a freebie, from strangers.
Also, EVERY charity is a scam (unless you go to their known website yourself.) I’ve already received at least one text message scam.
lol i got this cough thing too but it’s cause im a smoker and got lots of mucus built up from smoking. i just piss people off and cough it up and they look at me like i got the virus. if i stop smoking for a few days it will clear up or if i take something like mucinex.
it might clear up when it starts to get hotter but right now it’s bipolar weather hot and cold and raining off and on.
I have the same issue but with allergies! I have a cat even though I’m allergic, so my life is basically runny nose and phlegmy throat without even being sick lmao.
I am pretty much non-stop on the verge of a panic attack and deathly afraid of developing symptoms.
I could feasibly hole up in my house on what I have (I’m a canner, light prepper and hobby harvester) for months, but my partner comes and goes on a weekly basis so I’m afraid of being exposed regardless. I tend to get deep bronchial infections every so often and am prone to re-occuring respiratory illness and asthma so I don’t want to risk my health ; I’ve heard the ventilator stories and they’re scary.
idk if im allergic to cats but if i pet cats and then rub my eyes they get really itchy. we have lots of pets most of our cats are strays that we took in. 3 cats now, 4 dogs, 1 bird and a lot of fishes.
gonna down grade heavily in a few years. all out pets are old. 2 of our dogs gonna pass away this year or next maybe they getting very old already all our pets at least 10 years or older except the fish my puffer is at least 10 years old though
I wish I could help you, if we were neighbors I would go to those shops for you, and I’d make sure everything was disinfected, hydrogen peroxide or an alchohol spray of 60 percent or more, or if you water it down 90 percent would work. I just want everyone to pull through this.
I am going to continue working we wipe everything down with bleach water many times during the day, I also wear gloves because money is so dirty and I even use hand sanitizer or bleach water on the gloves to reduce spreading anything to my customers. I take everything off as soon as I get in the entry way, get it in the washer and get in the shower. I then clean the shower and bathroom. It’s a sad day but don’t want to risk my grandbaby getting it. My daughter got ok’d from her boss to take some time off, she’s in what’s considered an essential business too, but they’ve gone to drive up only so not as many staff needed.
