I’m not sure I was never asked about my gold when I did gdkp pugs I just joined and healed the raid for gold. Heck I would go in with less gold than I had now lol wish the pugs were that good again

Basic gdkps fill the group with pretty much anyone. Usually basic screening like any half decent pug lead does
The items that are HR’d are pre bought lol its the exact same thing.
Yeah that Mage raid lead really needs that DFT from BWL that’s why it’s HR’d. He HR’d it to himself for raid leading… he def ain’t selling it.
Or that warrior raid leading HRing nelf tear, he def needs that for his spell caster spec, he aint selling it either.

Screen your pugs. Especially on a Mega Server. This late in classic run guilds are backfilling their runs constantly and HR things like Nelths or DFT to have it go to a guildie. If you don’t screen your GDKP’s you’re just as liable to have entire pots stolen as well. Oh no that mage just DC’d, I’m sure he’ll be back with our gold to trade it out to everyone and hasn’t instantly sent it somewhere else.

Tell me every pug bwl doesn’t have all trinkets HR’d. Tell me every Aq40 doesn’t have badge, fetish, eye HR’d.

I mean I do, but I play on Era. The hell you expect with an accelerated cadence mega server? Join a guild or make your own raids. It’s not like them being GDKP once again stops people from buying gold to outbid you or stealing the pots at the end. If you can’t handle the concept of making sure your raid leader is reliable and not RMT’ing away trinkets, you’re probably not gonna do well with GDKP either. Unless ofc you’re just not one who enjoys farming and you’re pretending the RMT on the trinkets is your issue.
GDKPs you get a payout at a minimum, SRs you get a kick in the teeth.
But I guess your right I could just make my own raids and HR everything, be part of the problem. Can’t beat em join em.

That’s essentially how GDKP’s work, you can’t beat the gold sellers so might as well get your cut of the problem.
i am very confused by the concept of screening the raid leader or the pug i’m joining, i could look at their logs but how would that stop them selling a trinket? or not selling a trinket?
If its a solo person running a weekly raid and is a trusted person on your community, you’ll know where that trinket is going. If its a guild run you join, you have a good idea where it is going. If its some random you’ve never heard of before who has HR’d a trinket they can’t use, you’ve got a good idea whats happening too.

None of that applies in a mega server where theres 10 thousand pug runs where no1 is held accountable by the community.

You can get a good amount of that info from the discord you’re invited to. If they’re not running a discord, bad sign Betty is here.
Sure but this all seems like your just dodging that the good items are getting sold. They aren’t all “going to guildies” when its clear it’s a pug run not a guild run etc.
