Waking up from a terrible nightmare.
when it whitewashes all the darker aspects of the Horde, no its not a good thing. I’m also worried about what kind of changes they’re making to the intros for Alliance. If they’ve done this to Horde, heaven knows what kind of bungling they did on Alliance side.

Apparently they’re also removing any reference to Teldrassil from the new player experience going into BFA.
Meaning new players will be unaware of what started Battle for Azeroth unless they looked up the lore themselves. This is an attempt to make the Horde look better to new players.

Doubtful since Ion made it very clear they want the opposite of that at blizzcon. Obviously they can change their mind but I dont think that it’s what they’re currently aiming for.
And either way, they can remove faction conflict without removing the unique racial identities.

It simply is not. These descriptions apply to newly-created characters after BfA, as part of their attempt to update the starting experience to not throw new players back into Cata before expecting them to make their own way to the actual content. You might as well complain that the Cata-era blood elven starting cinematic doesn’t mention that time they stole a Naaru.

Wish they would start by undoing the gcd changes, give back all the abilities vengeance demon hunters lost in BFA…and even give our artifacts back and forget about azerite and the wooonz…ah, one can dream.
It’s not like they bothered to reference it in BfA aside from the warfront. 
Everyone was telling Blizz that “going back to Horde vs Alliance” was a dumb idea and post-Legion was the best time to finally get rid of the faction system (or at least enable some form of inter-faction play). But did they listen? Just look at Pathfinder for your answer.
Then you have the “we’re going to bring back world PvP!!!” crowd that was hyping all this up, when we all knew this was just going to turn into an old god expansion, which Ion promised wouldn’t be the case lmao.
One word to sum it all up: messy.

I presumed it was intentional.
I mean with Tyranda not wanting peace and probably attack horde left from right i wouldn’t be surprised if horde killed her and anduin sat there and was like “well she was at fault oh well” while malfurion would be like she lost her way and was drowned in hatred, im now going to sleep in the emerald dream and be depressed for another 10000 years (till the story needs him) while shandris becomes the new leader and works with anduin.

Yeah, considering an alt of mine just started the Sludge Farm storyline in the Hillsbrad Foothills. Considering we have Humans planted there like seeds by the Forsaken, that’s hardly defending them.
