Horde - Prepare for some TBC frustration

I am Alliance. I main a NE Resto Druid and I have an NE Subt Rogue alt. I don’t post on my characters because I am often combative or inflammatory on the forums and I don’t want it reflect on my guild. I am the guild leader.

The issue has existed through Classic. The severity is about to spike wildly in TBC. Hence the thread.

the one that barely plays classic and bashes it and the community?

Yea I can see why you don’t type on mains.

You need help buddy. That’s all I’m going to say. Cause this whole time I’ve been trying to say I agree with you.

Still great for removing all Wound Poison stacks, removing Crippling, and removing Viper. Desperate Prayer is also great in Arena. Stoneform to remove Wound + Desperate Prayer makes Dwarf priests the hardest Priest to kill in arena for Rogue teams.

Chastise is also very good for Disc in arena.

I can’t breath around here without upsetting the hiveminds and getting insults hurled my way. It’s nothing new to me. Fortunately the block has a “forever” option now so it doesn’t keep expiring like it did in the past.

For BGs our only solution (besides rerolling alliance) will no doubt be to get our farming done fast. When people first hit 70; BGs will be still be plentiful enough. The issue is that once the handful of alliance get their honor set done… they’re done. After that it’s going to long queues again matching against mostly alliance premades wanting to stomp horde pugs for fun so they can feel good about themselves.

Re premades, what’s stopping horde from doing the same?

Nothing, but 2 hours is a long time to sit in town waiting in a BG queue. Horde can assuredly premade too. And they will. But it’s easier to recruit for premades when queues are 2min instead of 2 hours.

“But they don’t HAVE to sit in town in queue!”. You’re right, but they can’t complete quests in a raid group, they can’t do heroics in other groups, they can’t raid. I suppose if you can find 15 people that don’t mind literally world farming or something for your 2 hour queue then more power to them!

Most world pvp or farm herbs/ore while waiting.

The queues are up to 2 hours now? Yikes! Yea that does suck.

Horde is very aware of the issue with que times. You sometimes get one of us that comes on here to QQ.

What people forget about TBC is that it’s more arena based than BGs.

Casuals like myself are the ones that get stuck in ques. It’s why I gear up and then only que on honor weekends. You can also que all 3 bgs.

Most horde are in arena after they got gear or while gearing honor.

Tbc isn’t fully about BGs infact it’s more about arena.

Yes I said it 3 times for a reason.

Que are 10 to 15 minutes. Our ques get worse as times goes. Less and less alliance que for bgs. Etc horde side ques have always been like this.

I seriously doubt they’re going to add a mechanic that wasn’t available until WoD and that a ton of the player base hated.

There’s no reason to make any changes. The cross realm BGs in classic helped horde, encouraging poor population balance.

We’re seeing the same thing now. In AV alliance aren’t queueing in the quieter hours because the horde literally smear every game. Sure they get max honour, however it discourages people from playing lengthening the queues, because it’s literally not worth even bothering for alliance. It’s why AV went dead outside of weekends. Just biting the hand that feeds you. You make the games so horrible and unfun you get no one to play against.

Horde make it terrible for regular players to BG PvP and as a result, more people go horde if they are serious about PvP and less people bother queue alliance side. Mainly self inflicted.

Same as the massive QQ at the suggestion of forcing premades to only face premades. You’d have thought the sky was falling that they couldn’t just curb stomp single queuers for free honour.

You’ve made your bed, now sleep in it. The only hilarious thing about horde vs horde is watching them make the game so painful they don’t even want to play. So sure, maybe that is a good idea.

Also the racials are huge. It might be lessened in TBC, but in classic the power gulf was enormous, and now Blood Elves add another better horde racial, alongside a race that traditionally offers much better aesthetics, meaning even more horde.

TLDR - You’d have more people to play against if you didn’t basically just play in the most toxic manner possible. It’s meant to be fun (which doesn’t mean winning). No one does it except the sweatys otherwise. Plus it’s the people playing to deny their opponents any enjoyment making the issue worse, which is guaranteed the hardcore rankers/pvpers. Only need to look at the ranks of who does it.

Thats what Ive been saying.

Pvp isnt a problem because arena doesnt care about factions. We can all be horde now!

Let’s all just hope for the best and expect the worse. Though it is a bit concerning I won’t lie.

Not all of us are arena junkies. I’m casual bg player. My buddies play horde and I can’t boost a goat. So to me I wish we had better options…but I’m use to it.

Also don’t say just level another character. Honestly I just want to play 1 or 2 I don’t care if ques are long. I can use that time to farm herbs.

That is what I do, I farm herbs on the side while I wait for queues. It keeps me sane and I dont have to feel obligated to que nonstop like alliance with instant ques. That must feel terrible.

I think the ques arnt long enough! I wanna be able to farm more while I wait

Doesn’t seem to be the case so far. Or did you mean PvP?

Here is a tip: Q for all 3 and when you’re finished 1, you don’t wait long for the next 1. Think i’ve waited max like 5min in between q’s after the first initial 13min. It’s great to be Horde :grinning:.
