Horde players showing up neutrally on Amirdrassil

The EarthenRing server cluster joins up with multiple other realms because of its low population, also tons of roleplayers from WrA and MG go to the Tournament Grounds. However, the Tournament Ground shard everyone uses is settled in the MG realm. If you’re anything but a Moonguard native and you show up to the Tournament Grounds, you won’t see anyone until you join party on an anchor.

Basically… Moonguard Stormwind and WrA Stormwind both can have players from different realms, but a player from, say… EarthenRing would have to actually party up with someone from that realm to phase into Moonguard’s Stormwind. Otherwise, the only Stormwind and players the EarthenRing player will see is what’s in their server cluster.

Say, if I walk into Waking Shores, there may be a player from my server that is standing RIGHT next to me, technically, but because we’re in different shards I will only see them if I party up with them. Whoever is party lead is where the party’s shard is based. After party is made, it’s determined by whoever first enters a zone.

Sharding is a headache. It’s the bane of World RP. There could be events happening all over the place, all in completely different shards, never knowing. But… it’s required or the game suffers from lag. Tons of people in one shard causes the server to tank, input lag to rise… sometimes the cure is worse than the illness.

Which Tournament? I assume you aren’t talking about the Argent Tournament in Northrend?

Yeah that’s where it’s hosted. Big ol’ event that happens every summer. Every time it comes up, there’s no sharding- everybody in the Moonguard phase is in the exact same shard, so everyone can see each other, interact with each other- all that. Without that, the event would not be viable.

That’s such a fun RP event. I been to it twice actually. Once as a vulpera and once on my worgen. Fun times, usually everyone brings the tongues potion from legion Dalaran with them to help with cross faction RP.

Quick question for anyone who has noticed it but do any of you guys know why some Horde players get the debuff “Eyes of the Sentinels” while other Horde players don’t?
First I thought it was given to all Horde, then I thought maybe only OG races get it while new additions like allied racea don’t but then I’ve seen many core races without it and I am curious about it.

Some of us didn’t participate in the Fourth War so we get special treatment.

I think the debuff is bugged because it actually disappeared for me out of the blue while I was there. I had it one moment and didn’t the next.

Bug probably due to sharding glitch.

Oh for the love of An’she! Own your hatred! Do we not deserve it?
I hate you. All I need is the word from the Council and I will do it all again. And again. And again. Until Azeroth is finally free of the blight that is the Alliance!

EDIT: Aw man, you made me upset enough to go into RP mode. Seriously though, don’t hide behind “just kidding hehe” it’s not cool.

I was kidding so. :dracthyr_shrug:

This is a bad blueprint to turn other hubs neutral. Shame.

That’s what we call opening negotiations.

 you realize this isn’t going to stop people from rushing your forests, right? In fact, this might even result in a massive increase in chopped on trees…

Amirdrassil is UNSHARDED and in a JOINED PHASE now. All RP realms in our group are in one phase, which means Moonguard, WyrmrestAccord, CenarionCircle, and SistersofElune all see each other in Amirdrassil.

Ain’t that neat?

Hey, I just noticed one of the Garrison followers was added to Bel’ameth:

I dread Midnight. It might be total fallout for blood elves so we can expect Alleria gets everything she ever wanted.

It’s not a replacement for Darnassus, and it’s definitely not neutral. It’s NPC’s are neutral to Horde but friendly to Alliance, offering them services (mostly useless granted) denied to Horde players including setting Hearthstones. Also Horde characters are reminded by a harmless debuff that they’re being watched closely.

Horde champions are being admitted as a courtesy because of thier direct role in seeing Amirdrassil through it’s transition from the Emerald Dream. However that invitation is not being extended to the Horde at large. There’s no portal access from Orgrimmar the way there is at Stormwind. Nor are any of the other portals usable by Horde Champions.

Watch es they make Silvermoon alliance I can feel it. Midnight will be total Blood elf fallout.
