I already play both sides.
I don’t really see a true difference in playerbases, but the whole “humans best race” thing gets old pretty quick.
Last I checked, humans are pretty awful and do horrible things.

Realistically, basically because they got Void elves and their Heritage armor just looks so good, I had to make one being a fan of all Elven Kind specially the High Elf story its so complicated and tragic in WoW specifically!
But also if they get the Black Dragons, The Broken Ones (Ungly Draenei) or Naga… (All thought I think the the Black Dragons would go to alliance and the Naga would join the Horde…I think for some reason). 
Races would get me to switch basically.

if blizzard fixed the f*#&ing faction imbalance on warmode shards, i’d play alliance no doubt. doesn’t need to be 5:1 horde every time
if that’s not the case, i’m a big fan of the undead, so if for whatever reason the forsaken could be alliance- i’d probably suck it up and do that instead.

I find it next to impossible for me to transfer over to an Alliance main. It would take something so extreme it make the current faction imbalance look like a joke.
First I have been playing since mid BC and have been Horde for 95% of that. I was briefly Alliance back in Cata when a friend was playing but moved back over once he quit.
Second I just like that variety of races the Horde has to offer vs the Alliance races.

I’m gonna go Alliance for Shadowlands. Been Horde since MoP so just wanna change it up a bit. Play some new models.
I play healers and have had 120s of those classes on both factions for a while, so no issue on leveling toons. Just gotta pick a class to main. (and find a guild. Anyone on Stormrage need a jack of all trades healer? Can play anything.)

Hmmm I think there is a possibility Alliance get a prettier version of undead like Calia Menethil and seeing how SL brings lots of Undead factions there is a very strong possibility here.
Although since Alliance tends to be more “conservative” and selective (Void Elves being a rare pleasant surprise exception to what they normally accept in the blue Club) in who joins up with them… I think they have Night Fae and Kirian Join them… While leaving the Edge lords and Goth masters rejects Maldraxxus and Venthyr to the Horde. (I’m assuming and notthing wrong with that by the way I think its a win win if it ends this way) 
I already have characters on both sides but I wouldn’t turn down a Man’ari Warlock.

I completely agree with the attitude issue. However, I’ve encountered many Horde players with attitude issues as well. I’ve been called gross as well as other colorful names for maining Alliance. I also just recently had a Horde player spit on me for dying in a raid. People in general just have bad attitudes.

I imagine they could of started with a better idea and or alternative to the vulpera release than mechagnome was…
I’m Bi-faction, I play whichever I’m feeling atm, although I do main Alliance more, as it was b/c of friends, not the faction.
It’s not the nasty attitude as much as it’s the “I’m morally better than you because I main alliance”.

There isn’t anything. Been Horde since mid way through original WoW.
Maybe if they weren’t cookie cutter good guys it would help. But they are just so damn boring.
I do have multiple characters of both factions but 85%+ of my game time is spent Horde side.
Off the top of my head: nothing.
The Alliance is, in a word: relatable. It’s centered on HUMANS! I get enough of them in my day to day. I can go to the middle of Idaho and see the exact same architecture as I see in Stormwind.
Some people dig on that. I don’t. I don’t play a FANTASY game, to immerse myself with “Leave it to Beaver with Fire Mages.” The Fire Mages part is cool, the 1950s hum drum is boring af. And that is WHOLLY the Alliance for me.
The Worgen may be werewolves, but then they’re English aristocratic werewolves with top hats. +yawn+
Even when you dabble in a “weird” race, it’s still an insignificant triviality in a world of boring humans. I don’t play Fantasy genre games … to play the HUMAN faction. Those are the same people that go to a foreign country on vacation… and then eat at McDs. Plenty do it, I’m not one of them.
For the Horde.

Don’t be silly. I’m most definitely more amoral than you and I main alliance 
I’ve pretty much played Horde exclusively since launch. Transferred all my characters from one server to another with my guild (at that time). Spent multiple 100’s of dollars doing so. I currently have 2 of them at 120, the rest of the classes a minimum of 100 with most being 110.
I recently switched to Alliance to play with my son and the guild he’s in since all the people I was playing with on the Horde side no longer play.
No matter what the story line is, it all plays the same so it doesn’t matter to me what side I’m on as long as I’m having fun.
That and robot ninjas (Mechagnome Monks) because that’s just all kinds of awesome.
