Theres nothing wrong with the alliance. Theyll get some great races coming down the line here.
Absolutely nothing could get me to go alliance. Lore wise they’re a bunch of bigots with a victim complex.
The irony of an orc posting that is hilarious.
If Alliance didn’t blow so bad at pvp.
Sylvanas wiping out the Alliance making the current Alliance guys go join the Horde and her creating a new better Alliance.
I can’t hear you over the 200 Horde kills I got in Nazjatar the day before yesterday
I play both and the Horde talk about how much they hate Alliance way more.
Won 4 of 5 Brawls today as Alliance. it is closer to 50/50 win rate for Horde and Ally than people want to admit.
Nazjatar is not a good benchmark since Alliance throws in 4-5 raid groups on one shard lag out the entire zone and just sits on New Home.
My experience is that, during Oceanic times the Alliance wins more then during US times.
The irony of a space goat acting that is even better.
If dark irons didn’t make me even have an alt that I even barely play, then nothing will.
Alliance racials that weren’t trash. An Alliance that wasn’t holier than thou and stuck up. And perhaps some edgier darker characters I guess.
Not in my experience.
It’s a pretty good benchmark when you phase back out of that to your home shard and turn a 2k Horde lead into a Horde loss.
My general pvp experiences on both sides sort of amount to this:
Non-RP server Horde are great and fun to fight with and against. The rest…basically expect to win because they’re Horde and they -break- when you put the pressure on them. They break easy. Alliance has those players, too, but oddly enough, it’s RP server alliance that goes “GAAAH! DIE HORDE DIE! 10 vs me odds? THIS IS A GOOD FIGHT! KAPLA!..why is horde already gone? I WANNA FIGHT SOME MORE!” in my experience. Honestly, that attitude is just so much fun to me I love playing with it. I mean, I spend maybe 10 to 20 minutes horde side during assaults, then I go alliance side and spend up to six hours off and on if I have the time because it’s just “Heeee! Kill kill kill!”. It’s great.
The Alliance players who legit hate pvp usually don’t participate in the first place. Or you just meet them in BGs where, honestly, I wish they’d just not join.
I did have one REALY bizarre situation where people were like “oh no, don’t attack the horde, they’ll corpse camp all of us”. That was genuinely weird.
It did not stop me from attacking the Horde.
Make Draenei men (and light forged Draenei men) run around with no pants or underwear, and I’ll convert.
Because both factions are more similar than people admit.
I definitely know that. Because people play this game and people can be both good and bad. I just think the alliance attracts more of the “holier than thou” good guy types. That’s all.
Chemical castration possibly.
Already play Alliance.
The better question would be what would make swap to Horde.
For folks who are on the Horde, I don’t think darker edgier characters / stories or monster races will actually make any of them main an Alliance character. It may make them more inclined to play an Alliance alt, but I don’t foresee a bunch of main switching.
The only thing the darker / grittier character and stories would accomplish is make the Alliance more like the Horde and at that point, the distinction between factions actually does get blurred.
The Alliance is more like archetypal fantasy, whereas the Horde is not. There’s nothing wrong with either, both have their distinct draws.
Further, to those answering that they’d play Alliance if there were no faction barrier —> if there were no faction barrier there would be no Alliance or Horde. Your answer is effectively the same as people who simply post “Nothing” would make them switch.
I main Alliance, but I cannot upvote this comment enough.
