As a DK player I’m super down for doing shady stuff, I loved the DK campaign for that in Legion. We did a lot of morally questionable things during the quest in order to have more power to fight off the Legion. This anti hero thing is what I love the most.
So when you go to the current lore, there isn’t a TRUE motive to be fighting and blighting. It’s just pointless. Then a bunch of demented posters come here to felate themselves while finger wave hordies for something they didnt have a choice to begin with.
Because they actually never planned to continue the Teldrassil storyline, it was just supposed to work as a character motivation for Saurfang.
That’s why they removed the War of Thorns from the game and never actually concluded Teldrassil at all, later they said the Night Elves got their revenge by killing a recreatable Val’kyr and that it’s over.
Seems like nobody had any interest to write the Night Elves after Teldrassil, so they just dropped it and worked with other things instead, like Derek. They got what they wanted out of Teldrassil (Saurfang and Sylvanas character development) and chose to ignore it so that people will eventually forget about it.
Well the Sentinels are females so sadly the trope fits.
Also whenever the Tally gets updated having the Leader of the Belf Paladins (Lady Liadrin) give out the quest to kill a neutral aligned healer at her makeshift hospital fresh off her stint in the Paladin Order Hall should be added to the Tally.
And now we know said healer’s soul is trapped in the Maw.
I’ll update the list if people have more stuff to add. I have been relying on other people’s reports for some time because I hate this expansion so very much that I’m not playing it on my Horde toons.
If Horde players could harness the amount of self-pity they have for their oh so woeful experience, they could probably recharge their artifact weapons back to full-power and use them to destroy the Alliance.
I personally thought there could have been a whole lot more out of the Night Elf plots- Especially with the Tyrande- Night Warrior plot. Instead of straight warfronts, Guerilla warfare skirmishes between displaced Night Elves and the Horde, with potential moral dilemmas could have been good.
