It’s not Jaina being on screen I dislike. It’s Jaina not being subject to consequences for her actions like basically every other Alliance character I disapprove of.

Oh but I know, How Dare I support not treating the horde like a saturday morning Cartoon villain just so Alliance players can enjoy a powerfantasy. How Dare I actually suggest that maybe Alliance should be subject to the same rules of consequence as . But yes, clearly my not approving of Jaina being exempt from consequence is me being sexist. I’m such a bad person.

The joke is at least two of us aren’t Alliance players, we’re just posting on Alliance alts. Most people play both sides.

People who get super serious IRL about the factions in this game have a general tendency to be somewhat off-kilter, I have observed.

For real guy, you are whining a lot more than anything you could possibly accuse Jaina of, all because… Blizzard is bad at writing the Horde?

They’re also bad at writing the Alliance, so this “oh, Alliance gets away with EVERYTHING” hook you’ve latched onto is laughable. Alliance players aren’t dancing in the streets over how evil the Horde is. They’re annoyed that they never actually get to DO anything, because it’s the Horde that always acts.

Horde commits an atrocity, Alliance reacts in the limpest way possible, part of the Horde is scapegoated so the others get to claim innocence, lather rinse repeat.

No one is happy, so you freaking out is pretty ridiculous.

Let me tell you something that’s gonna blow your mind. There is no Alliance or Horde player bases. Statistically there’s so much overlap that you’d need to put them in three bases. Alliance, Horde, and WoW. And the first two would be like 2 and 3% respectively.

Zenrao, Azhaar, and Soniae are making most of the arguments I would make, so I just want to say one thing.

This “division” in the player base exists only among people who believe it does. The actual playing habits of the majority do not support it. But posts like this strike me as the processed sugar of the Confirmation Bias diet, prone as they are to feeding into one of two reactions:

“Man, he’s so right. I see that kind of BS from [faction] players all the time.”

or,

“Look at this guy calling [my faction] abhorrent. I’m glad I don’t play my [other faction] alts much, [other faction] players are getting worse all the time.”

It’s an observation you can’t substantiate my dude. I have more Alliance characters than Horde. I’m also a guy. Forum avatars mean nothing. I post on Sarestha because she’s my main at the moment, and my favourite character. That’s legit all it means. XD
