Yes I commented on another one of these threads about how I thought they were removed as an option becuase it was something only the Alliance have. And I had it for my Horde Blood Elf toon that I copied over.
Wrong alliance, mate.
I mean… do you realize that Blood Elves could potentially have blue eyes, right?
“Blood Elf” is a sociocultural and political distinction, so a “blue eyed” Blood Elf could be:
-A High Elf that returned to Quel’thalas after the Sunwell was reignited.
-A Blood Elf that for any reason, was away from Quel’thalas or Outland between the rebuilding and Sunwell reignition.
-And as usual, the idea of a blood elf that because of reasons, has managed to remove the fel tint of themselves.
We can make the argument that “blue eyed blood elves” could be just too few to be an in game option, but lorewise, they have always been a possibility.
And if the lore changes and says “Oh yeh the Sunwell cleansed green eyes on those most magically adept” that would be all the reason you’d need for blue eyes becoming commonplace.
Like I get your point, but Blizzard can come up with whatever reason to make BE blue eyes a thing, so it’s futile to argue against it in terms of lore. Like how we got Void Elves that came out of nowhere lorewise, they just happened.
I know very little of the datamining community and even I know that’s a heck of a name drop. Okay then, false alarm on the high elves thing then.
I look forward to rollin’ a Blood Elf Mage with blue eyes just to see your butthurt here on the forums. Just as I race changed to a Nightborne for the butthurt of ‘em bein’ made Horde so y’all Alliance can have your precious Thalassian elf model (with some delightful purple splashed in)
Cheers.
Just gonna sit here and wait for the Alpha to show it. I’d rather see what it is than play speculation.
But imagine being proud of being this petty
You call it “petty”, I call it - “I don’t care anymore, so let’s just troll people.”
I mean that’s what petty means so you do you boo, enjoy pettiness being your only enjoyment of the whole situation
Either get so invested that you get upset or not care at all and only enjoy other people getting upset; this conversation truly brings up the best in people!
To be so simple as a bird and believe “trolling” is completely devoid of any ethical and moral implications. Ah, to be as unencumbered by nuance as you are, to be so free and wilfully upset other people for kicks.
So that’s how your best life looks to you?
Oh it’s time! Glad you are self aware tho! Again, live your best life, whatever that might be!
No i am being serious. I had Blue eyes in the beta.
On a toon that i copied over.
I had Blue eyes in the alpha on a toon that I copied over
I do not have them now on any of my Blood Elves
But they belong to the Alliance. So that is why I believe that they were not brought into the game.
See look here is proof
I mean I am sorry, but pics or it didn’t happen? Like at most I can say it was a bug that you had blue eyes, because intended or not to be given to BE’s, you are not supposed to be able to choose any expanded customization in the beta right now.
So far all we can do is theorize with the game files and datamining, until confirmation of even the first round of implementation, it’s all wild speculation.
Are BE’s getting blue eyes? We don’t know. Those are the facts so far, all we have is some pretty compelling speculation based on texture that they might not, given what’s currently on the beta files. So yeah, we don’t know.
And everyone should be cognizant of that.
From Last beta this current expac is not at the beta yet. the alpha just dropped a few days ago.
No, because you’re talking about race when it comes to the Quel’dorei. English (do you mean British??) and Americans are one race. And not all Americans were English from the beginning. For a long while, it was very important in American History to be Anglo-Saxon.
The rivalry between the Quel’dorei/Sin’dorei was mainly muted after the Sunwell came back. The Alliance kicked out Quel’thalas as an ally.
The best analogy you have is, are Italians still Romans?
Plenty of Americans consider themselves English.
Many do not consider themselves British.
I don’t know how to educate you on what you’re saying here… because it really defeats your argument. Hint: It’s about heritage.
So if you are making a distinction between alpha and beta, you had blue eyes on the BfA beta? How would that not be anything but a glitch?
Just hopeful wishing. ALL of my Google searches do not show it. I know what I saw and I need to know if what I saw was intended or a glitch. So far, years later, no answers.
