Seems like revisionist history since literally no one was saying anything about horde map advantages until all the alliance rankers left the BG when they couldn’t form premades. Also, the whole “wasn’t a guaranteed win” part is a joke too. I spent most games trying to get people to do literally anything but kill Lts. + Balinda and wait for the loss. But yeah, alliance didn’t have virtually guaranteed wins at that time if you were in a premade. Most horde pugs rolled over and played dead with even a whiff of a premade at the time. It wasn’t the 99% win rate it is for horde now, but I was lucky to win 1 out of 6 games back then. And before any of you start with the “alliance would love to win 1 out of 6 games now” stop. Just stop. No you wouldn’t. It sucked for me just like it would suck for you. It should be closer to 50/50 so everyone has a shot at winning.
Not really this was always an issue with the map. There was no reason to complain about when horde aren’t abusing it. This isn’t the strat horde were playing in vanilla and it didn’t really become a thing until BC. The map issues always existed they just weren’t being abused as much as they are now.

Weird that you didn’t include RDruid/Warrior which was the exact comp that was almost auto 2k+ and single handedly made them make changes in season 3 to Warrior Mace spec + the ability to get shoulders and weapons from 2’s.
2’s was ALWAYS resto druid/warrior. Any other comp that made it that high was either extremely skilled or lucked out with a couple of RNG wins.
lol this is just wrong… if its PUG vs PUG in AB or WSG I am at 52% win rate in AB and 46% in WSG… weird… thats a pretty stark difference from the less than 1% winrate in AV which is honestly only being carried by the premades from early on.
Except the Alliance has more “hardcore” pvpers than the Horde so your notion is just wrong. This isn’t even up for debate, there are more ranking groups in Alliance than there are in Horde and its really not even close… if you want easier more casual pvp, you roll Horde.

Its a pretty clear cut case for map imbalance. If it was players or race abilities or any other thing people claim, we would see the same win rates in other BGs. You don’t.
The map imbalance in AV just makes it painfully noticeable of the horde advantage. AB and WSG WR’s aren’t 50/50. I’d somewhere around 60/40 for AB and 70/30 for WSG, at least according to my addon.

That’s not necessarily true. I’m not saying there is no map imbalance, but win/loss ratios being different for other BGs does not provide strong enough evidence of itself that map imbalance is the cause.
There are quite possibly some other factors. I do not have data to suggest this, so this is just a hypothetical example: e.g. players who are ranking, and focused on PVP on the Alliance side may be completely avoiding AV, and solely focusing on AB/WSG, whereas many ranking players on the Horde side will also queue AV. There may also be significantly more leveling players on the Alliance side in AVs than on the Horde side. There may also be significantly more active players on the Horde side than the Alliance side.
There may be several other factors to consider as well.

So u are basically calling me a liar over a video game. Well I have no reason to lie about losing avs. Ive lost 4 this weekend out of 12 I have played my honor kills counter has me at 22-5 all time.
Sorry u got into crappy avs doesn’t mean all 40 avs that have been running this weekend have been just as crappy.

If you need evidence then you truly are blinded. Get an Alliance 60 and go in AV and get your own proof. Sorry I can’t go in EVERY AV match at once and record it all.
