Horde Advantages in AV

I’m not saying valuable feedback hasn’t come from the forums. I’m simply saying there’s a lot of whiney bs on the forums that offers no constructive feedback. Honestly these people probably don’t want it anyways. They just wanna whine about stupid crap. As horde they should have been used to losing in av. We’ve never done that well in this particular bg.

oh the starting cave?

The map is literally different. The horde entrance is in a different part of the map.

Yea that one. Right now we basically start at TP.

It is true horde have the only 2 bottlenecks on the map in their favor.

  1. the pass beside iceblood graveyard moving south only.

  2. the covered tower in the horde base headed towards drek.

Everything else on the map has at least 2 paths to bypass (yes even “the bridge”)

You are simply incorrect. Look it up. LTs and commanders stop giving rep when you’re revered.

oh i see, 2008 they moved it.

Horde and alliance both end up at balinda at the exact same time. This allows horde to deny alliance their buff before alliance can deny horde.

Well I was playing retail alot of my day today and was in several retail version alrerac valleys where the outcome of the battles was not known. (All I do on retail basically is play random BGs over and over again)

I commonly play both factions with mercenary mode as it’s usually available for horde.

I think that not knowing a battlegrounds outcome before starting is good and it shows that something is wrong with the design in classic. Why is it so much different? It shouldn’t be.

I could be wrong however I can tell you I’m getting between 500- 1k rep minimal every single game whether it last 10 mins or an hour. So can’t be that bad even at revered. The reps coming either way so I don’t care how I get it lol

You need to defend and win games to get those numbers.

Neither of which is part of the “popular” strat.

(PS - why would you possibly cut off “You” to “u” in your quote?)

Incorrect. We do the same thing every game and win maybe 1 out of 4. Kill balls, kill commanders/lts, grab a couple towers, and occasionally a few people defend.

As for the quote question - wasn’t on purpose. I’m typing on an iPad I guess i didn’t copy it all when I quoted.

Then you’re not getting 1k rep.

Straight up not possible.

You’re probably not even getting 500 with that method. You can get 125 for Bal + 125 for them ignoring Galv + 12 here and there for towers, about 300-400 tops, without defense turnins and a win.

That’s also why I said 500-1k. And I am getting that kind of rep. At the very least with a loss I’m getting 500 roughly and on win we’re getting close to 1k. Just telling you what I’m seeing. Whether commanders and such give u rep or not that’s what I’m seeing as I’m checking it every couple matches.

Now if other people turning in crap gives me rep gain as well maybe that’s why. I don’t turn in anything. I just run with the main group.

I’m just telling you that you’re wrong. Most likely, what’s happening is the matches are blurring together and you’re counting two matches worth of rep as one match, checking it every couple of matches and forgetting exactly how many it’s been.

Oh your just telling me I’m wrong… well I can only tell you what I’m experiencing. Possibly you should test it out for yourself before telling others there wrong. My rep gains haven’t changed much from friendly to revered. I honestly can’t tell much of a difference. You insist on being right so that’s fine. I’m simply telling u that I check every couple games and that’s what I’m seeing.

I’m 18k into Revered.

I’ve tested it out more than you have, friend.

And then you run right past all of those things and none of it matters

The matches today are definitely longer…

This video is the layout of the map we are playing. What is this premade doing that horde pugs cannot? It’s not like alliance are defending anything.

Also notice in this video that horde are reaching SH right around the same time alliance are which means they’ve already passed SHB and alliance are nowhere near the first horde objective (Galv). That’s a pretty big headstart.

Anyone, horde or alliance, claiming this map favors the alliance is not paying attention.
