It sounds crazy but it’s true. The matches where 5-10 defend our keep from their rush we usually end up winning.
Where’s the advantage when one faction skips the mini boss (galv) and lts. If Alliance stopped at galv to cap towers and kill him, we’d see closer win rates. Not sure what people don’t get.
you’ve played retail recently? in korrak’s horde win almost every single match. and overwhelming so with the old AV. if the map was actually stacked against horde it wouldn’t be possible. you’ve seen me say over and over again the last few days that if horde were to stop being lazy they’d crush the alliance. but yall would rather get fast honor.
Correct I just said that…
the amount of alliance threads i’ve seen the last couple of days talking about fair pvp… when there’s really no pvp at all going on in AV though. lol. people who want actually pvp could play WSG if they wanted, but they’d fall behind.
the old av has slightly different graveyard & eliete placements and korrak.
changing those gives alliance the advantage. Horde had the advantage in the oldest AV because honestly blizz originally designed the game to make horde Over powered
Mark Bonus honor for wins is 398 when you turn in 3. Horde are usually getting 2k±400 bonus honor from what I have seen. Alliance get maybe 790 if we can kill a few Lt’s before drek dies.
The Alliance that get 2k+ have 3-4 ppl dedicated to killing Lt’s while everyone else goes forward.
Winning actually doesn’t mean more honor…or rep. So here’s how it works. Alliance seem to be zerging drek on nearly every av encounter and skipping everything else. At the end of the game you get 700 something bonus honor and whatever rep obtained which is under 500 for the token turn ins and whatever drek gives you.
Horde on the other hand kills balinda and all the commanders/lts netting us 2500+ honor in that 10 min loss plus we get 500ish rep if not more (I haven’t been keeping up with the rep as much so don’t know exact numbers). While ideally it’s always better to win it makes more sense for us to skip the Zerg strat because alliance can Zerg faster to drek then we can to vann making it unlikely we would win that way. Hence the advantages. For those horde members screaming “we let you win” well they are just a bunch of idiots. We’re not letting you win. Instead we’re going with the odds to give us better honor and rep.
Ok so losing AV is cool & that is why horde are complaning on the forums about it.
Makes alot of common sense
Because this is the forums…where people go to whine about stupid crap lol
I feel as though the horde are just upset that there is literally a BG that Alliance can consistently win…
Why are you even bothered if we need all these “advantages” to do it?
Go back to stomping us in WPvP by the raid and kicking our butts in WSG…let us have AV…geez. xD
Once you’re revered, 90% of that rep gain goes away.
The “popular” Horde strat is godawful for going Revered to Exalted.
Not every single horde wants to min/max. They want fun AVs with some pvp.
So they complained about spy & Blizzard, game developer, decided to change their game?
The forums are a source of feedback from the community. They aren’t just not important. I have memories from 2007-2010 approx where the developer ghostcrawler would spend time communicating with people on the forums too. It shows how important they are.
Actually there’s no difference. The rep gains are the same. About 9k from exalted and I have seen 0 difference in rep gains from friendly up until now.
Tbh, I hate the zerg strat on Alliance too, but now that I am done with the rep grind, I just don’t participate in the zerg. I have more fun just attacking people in the middle.
Agreed except hordes strat is to max honor. Rep just comes.
I didn’t bother reading because the version of AV we had in '12 is different from the version we got in classic. Kind of pointless.
None of the things listed have been changed. It’s mostly map design and Balinda being a pos.
Hordes cave was moved back by then I’m pretty sure.
