Wow classic is so much better than retail it is crazy. Not having dungeon finder is a major plus. Do you not understand we are trying to get away from casual losers such as yourself? Please go back to dragonflight and take anyone like you with you.
Im having a great time.
Cata was literally the worst wow expansion of all time. It is the expansion that killed wow originally… anyone who enjoyed that crap pile needs to seek assistance.
That would actually be WoD. While there was a decline in Cata, subs did not crater until WoD.
How is this different from vanila wow, all those thing u listed wsa in original wow and even worst honor grind
safe travels then fren
Did you grind to hard to get to 80 fast? I never played TBC or WOTLK back in the day and only started playing wow towards end of Cata. I didnt enjoy TBC but leveled to max level and worked on professions. I’ve pu tup with so many bad expansions since MoP which was the best one for me and hoping the game will fun like it was for me in MoP but still waiting. Shadowlands has absolutely killed the fun in wow for me so really looked forward to WOTLK. I farmed full PVP set in prepatch and can only level when I have time after work. I’ve levelled more on the weekend but still 4 bars off from 75. The game can feel terrible in pvp when you don’t have resilience or weak gear in general but for me it got better. I love the design of rogue and how it feels to play and do bgs once in a while to have a break from leveling. I know what I’m in for when I ding 80 but personally I think the grind to get pvp gear or anything at max level will be so much better than anything to do with Shadowlands. I’m really enjoying the Northrend zones and for the first time in a very long time I’m actually looking forward to log-in to play.
It’s worse than Shadowlands.
In Wrath the honor grind is better than TBC but it’s still a very intense grind, the way rated PvP gear worked in Shadowlands is based on the rating tier you got to, In Wrath it’s rating locked meaning if you don’t get to 2200 before the cut off all the people who did before you will be really far ahead of you.
WoTLK PvP is also infinitely worse than Shadowlands in that certain specs need PvE pieces to actually function well while others don’t, rogue for example does need PvE pieces and you also have to deal with Human players doing double trinks and abusing that.
I’m not defending Shadowlands, I hate it but if you hated Shadowlands you’re going to hate Wrath PvP because it’s a primitive version of that style.
DF apparently is going back to WoD style so there’s some promise there.
Fixed that for ya. Even BFA was better.
What do you mean already? I just got to 80 today. Thats 5 days, thats through a pretty casual few of hours a day.
That is insane

The appeal has to come from you. You choose what you find fun, it cannot be imposed on you anymore than you can impose it on someone else.
I play retail but came back to wotlk. Technically came back for tbc but was turned off real quick by the idea of having to downrank spells for mana management.
In retail i cast levitate left and right for sh*ts and giggles. In wotlk i think twice about using the light feather to go across a lake or go around. I also think twice but how many mana drinks i buy. In retail, i have a bag full. This is another way of saying “choice has more value in wotlk” and i like this level of involvement, but not more (tbc) or less (retail). I suspect hunters are less pleased, ammo was a big qol improvement for them.
I seriously doubt anyone who already hit 80 also hit 80 as fast in o.g wotlk. Grinding an expansion leveling increasingly became a thing in later expansions, where blizzard gave us the levels upfront in mere days and then gatekept additional content behind faction or storyline quests.
Getting to level cap as quickly as you would in e.g shadow lands sounds not like my idea of fun. That sounds like a recipe for burn out. Incidentally my friend did nexus 16 times when wotlk launched. It’s likely in a few months he will also burn out, using that pace for this expansion.
I’m ok with putting in 3 ish hours a day varrying my gameplay from dungeons to BGS to questing (which i just realized I’m doing wrong just now since i need to move zones lol). Yes it will take me weeks to hit level cap.
In life, the problem with getting to the end as fast as possible, is that you have nothing left. Or, if you prefer “It is good to have an end to journey toward, but it is the journey that matters in the end”.
The progression servers are just like retail. You may enjoy playing the actual Classic WoW.
Cata will be the only thing to save classic, Firelands was indisputably and factually the best thing that was ever done with the game.
Im just here for ranged survival
comments like this are why queues are but a temporary problem
It sounds loke retail is your bag. There’s a lot of us who are the opposite, and the exact reason the classic thing happened.
Still though…bagging on no lifers as you yourself no life it to 80 within 3 days, only to burn yourself out. Ironic?
Go take a shower.
Wrath will maintain somewhat of a population but I was also on that wagon were I thought I’d not touch retail again and here I am maxed out another druid on Stormrage found an awesome guild and am quite excited for dragon flight with all the balance druid talent changes it’s going to be a blast. I hope you have an awesome experience to and if your ever on Stormrage look up Owlchemy I can get you into the guild.
If you think Wrath has a “lack of QoL” then you’re just not gonna make it.
