FOMO because it’s only here for two weeks then gone. So get on your 40 alts and get your yearly disappointment. Most of been farming for it for that long and are sick of it.

And I get it better than most. I’m between 3000 to 4000 kills and I still don’t have it.
These WERE a guaranteed drop back in wrath and earlier, iirc. Guildies would form small groups and just go in, get the kill and drop for each person on the daily.
All of my group got the HH horse. Most got the brewfest mounts or at least one.
This change was unnecessary. It was MADE rare for no reason.
In 2010 the HHM had a much higher drop rate due to a bug. A lot of people got it then.

I’m not sure about the rocket, but I know that 3 people in our group got it the week we were going in, then the group dissipated. I remember this part distinctly because we were all camped outside SFK.
I’m not 100% sure about what happened with the others since it was so long ago, but it still seems silly to make items like this such a ridiculous and meaningless grind with a time limit. You no brain, go in, hit the boss, and repeat hundreds, if not thousands of times. I get it for mounts like Mimiron’s head, Invincible, etc. You can do that until your eyes fall out and at the end of the day, they’ll still be there to do months down the road.
These were all doable in one go. I didn’t understand enough about the game at the time for holiday events either, and only had one character to do them on. I’m pretty sure I didn’t even touch HH during 2009.
Just saying from our perspectives each one has a negative attachment to it. One feeds into gaming addiction. The other gets requests at the annoyance of people against it.
Even just making the heart box drop off the BOSS rather then only a 1 a day thing off the Queuing would be better.
That way you only need to spam on one toon rather then swapping to 10000 alts.
I see the people wanting it easier as the special snowflakes because they are asking for special accommodations for items that are completely optional and cosmetic. Most people love getting something easy so you are not going to see push back on that. T
You are not to decide how others should feel special. You have no idea about their life, that little bit of joy could be important to them. Just because you may be able to do real world accomplishments does not mean everyone can. I happen to know a few people where their online lives are important because of physical or mental limitations. No need to try and shame people for wanting to feel special in a game.
It’s nothing special. Most games do this with their holidays. I’m not even asking for that anyways. I’m asking for a drop rate within what the other holiday mounts are. But other games have their holiday event. You do actual quests. You don’t just log into an instance and do a few seconds of a fight and then go on an alt. The quests then reward the items. The next year, they add new stuff. Something now alien to WoW. And the old stuff goes on vendors.
If they put stuff on vendors the next year, then people actually have to play the event to earn the currency to get the item. Not just queue log. I don’t know how queue logging became earning something.
Blizzard is to decide all of this and they’ve decided to take a look at it.
I have limitations myself. And gaming is an escape. But predatory gameplay making me feel special about myself is not one of those things.
They do have a mount for that and nobody uses it. You do quests, gather currency and buy it from the vendor.

So another post trying to shame people because they just “queue log”. Just reading your post show the amount of disdain you have for your fellow gamers if they don’t value the same things as you. Which is more harmful to the game than low rng or “predatory gameplay” since we are being fancy. The funny thing is we are talking about such a low number of items that WoW has when compared to the other easy to get mounts.
I was not talking about you, so what if it does not make you feel special. You are not the only one playing.
Well…WoW is mostly about chores atm.
So it does fit in with the current “theme” of WoW ^^
I don’t have disdain for my fellow gamers. Most don’t even care about the stuff we talk about here. It’s ok for people to go around making fun of each other but when it comes back on you, you get uppity? It’s not really earning something if you are doing nothing really to get it. That’s just facts. Acting like some victim doesn’t make it different.
You can feel special for so many other things than pixels. And even if it’s pixels there are so many other rare things than the rocket.
The problem with “it’s just pixels” or “it’s just a game” argument is it works both ways.
The rocket is just pixels and WoW is just a game so it’s no big deal if it’s rare. Right?
Sure, but we are talking about how not fun some aspects of holidays are. And everyone plays games for fun. It’s not even about owning pixels. If the game went down tomorrow we’d all lose everything anyway. It’s happened before to me. What is the concern is how fun it is. And sorry but running stuff on numerous alts for years for nothing is not fun.
