Going after the rarest mount in the game was pretty fun to me. Yes I get disappointed and frustrated but all that melts away when I finally get it.
Ugh, I said I wasn’t going to debate this anymore because Blizzard already made up their mind. It really is pointless and we all should just wait and see what they do next year.
Well we’ll see what they decide on. It might be something everyone can agree on for all we know. And we have a year to find out what that even is at all.
I have not been called uppity in a long time. Can we just stop reading into things, when did I say I was a victim or imply it? Nor did I ever talking about “earning” the mount. These as things you are talking about. Don’t get so upset about it.
I have a pretty rewarding life outside of the game. So I don’t need pixels to make me feel special but if someone does more power to them. They really are not hurting anyone because the RNG Gods blessed them with a mount from easy content. Why not be happy that someone got something that made them happy?
I’m not upset at all. You chose these words.
If someone does then that’s a problem that needs addressed. Not because RNG smiled on them but because they are being led into something that preys on that kind of mindset. That leads people to find it normal to do an event on 40 alts each day for two weeks for years. They are being led into predatory gameplay.
Exactly. There should be 1-2 new items every holiday that are 100% obtainable the same event they were added. Also lift restrictions for transmog/cosmetics from holidays.
Leave the rng for gearing/end game content.
Transmog needs it’s use unlocked for all year around. Especially items that don’t look specific to certain times of the year. But even ones that do, it doesn’t really matter. I don’t really care if anyone is going around in a Santa hat in summer or the yeti onesie, or the fae costume. Their character, their RP. It’s fun. Why not?

I don’t have a problem with a low drop rate, but I think there should be alternate methods of acquiring the mounts as well. For instance, they could be sold on the vendors for a large amount of currency. This would still require characters to participate in the holiday to collect the currency, but if they don’t luck out with a drop, they can still purchase the mount.
The transmog restrictions are one of those things that makes me think the devs forgot that Warcraft is a very silly series with very silly things and a tank dressed as santa is the least of your concerns

I think “guarantee drop” might be a little too much. I would prefer them to improve the drop rate and/or sell the mount for X# of holiday currency that’s earned in a number of different ways during the holiday time period.

agree mounts need drop for fun not frustration.

You’re just mad that you don’t have every holiday mount in the game.
Sorry, try again.
I have nearly all of them and am okay with them becoming guaranteed drops or being bought with currency
