Holiday Mounts should be a guranteed drop

I disagree, and it isn’t any different from what you’re doing with your dismissal by claiming “it’s just a holiday mount.” :woman_shrugging:

It should be 100%

No, it shouldn’t. See: anniversary boss debacle.

This response suggests that players like me “built an army” solely for this purpose.

You are right in why players should create those characters…because they want a new experience. That’s exactly what myself and probably a lot of other players have done over the years.

The unintended perk for myself for example is that I could do this if I so choose. Volume farming of a thing to get a thing. I actually never do. I get burned out too quickly. I do intend to do it once I collect more low hanging fruit in terms of stuff like Invincible assuming Cross faction doesn’t ruin that for players who don’t have it. I assume it wont but who knows.

Any body can create as many alts as they want. It isn’t a restriction or exploit or anything like that and its an “advantage” that anyone can gain. I do understand why others don’t but…its an option, how ever undesirable.

I do agree though that when a player gets frustrated with not getting something time and time again. in this case specifically, maybe a bump in drop rate should happen, but not a handout.

I think that’s a much more realistic drop rate. .3% seems insane to me. I don’t think 2 or 3% is too high though and if this has to be one of those tough to get things that’s fine but it should at least be on par with other stuff and not below. Thankfully it isnt lottery winning rates though =)

Entitled much? Do you even understand the concept of value?

Give em an inch, they’ll take a mile. Even once they get this, they’ll be asking for “challenge stuff” next. Some already do

It’s a holiday mount

Its a holiday mount thats been in the game for 12 years with the same drop rate.

And the drop rate for it is absurd lol

Not a guaranteed drop, but a guaranteed thing to obtain with some work put in. They should be something you can purchase from a vendor with the holiday currency IMO.

But they likely ever won’t do this, because they don’t update their holidays. They use these drop chances to make people continuously go after something they added to the game in 2010 and haven’t added anything else to.

There are many who have. I know quite a few.

Most of us in here aren’t asking for what the OP wants, so there’s that.

Thats why everyone wants it and why it is revered as the rarest mount in the game. But I guess we should just throw all that away because a level 37 Vulpera wants a mount.

I think people want it because its a pink flying rocket and the rarity has very little to do with it.

It should be like FFXIV. It doesn’t have to be a guaranteed drop but let us earn “currency” to eventually buy it. It doesn’t even necessarily need to be in the same year (although it would be nice) but guarantee a path to obtaining it without a decade going by.

Currency is fine imo. Honestly FF14 really spoils you with its holiday events that have new things to get every year instead of locking things behind very low drop rates to use as an excuse to not add new things to the game

I will say that I log in to every FFXIV holiday that has something to get because 1) I know I can get it and 2) it’s either new or an old thing cycling back that I didn’t already have.

I don’t run WoW holidays because the drop chances for things suck and they’re never updated.

And they also add ones to the in-game store for a reasonable price you can buy year round if you miss out.

I care about it and find it cool that it’s leaves change colors with the seasons. I pair it with the tree pet, and have it in my mount favorites.

I don’t understand the need for everything to be rare to want it. All of our possessions in real life aren’t like that. And I don’t go and peacock on the main street over things I do have that no one else has. That’d be weirdo behavior.

Yeah I haven’t logged in once during Love is in the Air. I’ve played Lost Ark instead.
