It does when I explain what I meant, though. Which I did, multiple times. You even acknowledged that.
To me, not when it comes to a holiday event.
This is a terrible attempt at an argument/dismissal. It doesn’t even make any sense. How did you even equate “forced content” with “holidays are meant to be fun for all levels, both brand new players and old”?
It doesn’t require you to run an army of characters to get it. You could get it on your first try, or second, or 5000th try. Its completely RNG. It only requires you actually doing the dungeon boss. The amount of times you decide to do that is up to you. No one is forcing you to run it 50 times a day. Does it increase your chances? Yes. But you’re not required to do that. A friend of mine had 2 headless horseman mounts drop for her in the same year and she already the mount. Some holiday mounts are easy to acquire like the vendor mounts. Others however have been a rare drop for up to 12 years now and it is far too late to change that because a few players haven’t had the same luck in getting it. Like I said, if they wouldn’t changed this the first year this would be a non issue and also no one would think this mount is super rare, unique or as special as it is considered now. It has a 12 year legacy at this point and if everyone suddenly got it then the mount would essentially be worthless.
It absolutely is required if you want to maximize your chances since the chance of it dropping on one character is so small you may as well go outside and try to win the lottery
If you think they’re going to make the current rare holiday mounts much easier to obtain then you’re just setting yourself up for more disappointment. At best they’ll make some kind of replica or similar items that resemble them, but the current holiday mounts will undoubtedly remain the same to retain their value. You can’t just ignore 12 years of players and their memories linked to this mount because you want a shiny pink mount just for participating.
The odds of winning the lottery are astoundingly small. Not sure how far off the Love Rocket mount is but .3% is admittedly, as I mention in a previous response, pretty darn low.
Here are the odds for the lottery…does that math out to the love rocket? My calculator on my phone freaks out so I assume that’s lower than .3%?
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million . The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are even lower, 1 in 302.6 million
I have personally seen people get this mount their first year trying for it. I know someone personally who had 2 headless horseman mounts drop the same year and she already had the mount. It doesn’t require anything but actually participating in the event. Its all RNG. The amount of times you want to try for it is entirely up to you.
And I did also. I finally got this mount after farming it on 25+ characters for 12 years. It dropped for me a few days ago. I was SUPER excited and couldn’t believe it when I saw it in the heart box. I stood there for 10 minutes taking screenshots and telling all my friends that this long journey had finally come to an end. You don’t care about the memories and experience people have with things like this and want to cast that all aside for the sake of your own selfishness.
I didn’t equate anything. I stated something, perhaps the obvious, that nobody is forced to do it. That’s just a fact. If you don’t like it, don’t do it. Do something fun instead. But similar logic can be applied elsewhere. PvP should be fun, but grinding for the elite set can be annoying. I don’t find it fun, so I don’t do it. Something being a ‘holiday’ does not exclude it from having rare items or otherwise.
Which is quite unfortunate that people are gutting the value of one mount out of like 600 or however many there are just to appease their collection number, but it is what it is.
Yea, and what exactly do you think that means? Big love rockets for everyone? Not going to happen. You may get a replica of some kind, which is fine. But it won’t be the one that drops from the box. But hey, if the appearance of the mount is all that matters to you then you should be fine with that, right?
Also yes, then making this mount much more easily obtained would take away from those precious experiences. It would directly insult players like me who despite the odds kept going and finally got it. You’re being insanely selfish and literally pushing other people aside so YOU can have your entitled mount.
Yea its not selfish to not want an item thats been in the game for 12 YEARS to retain its value. I’m happy for anyone who gets this mount whether on their first or 1000th try. What is selfish is people like you who feel like they are entitled to a mount that has retained its rarity for 12 years just because you want it. Well hey, there are tons of items in this game I would love to have but many of them are not even obtainable anymore. Thats my fault for not trying for them more when I had the chance. You don’t get everything just handed to you because you want it. Things have value for a reason.
Which has absolutely nothing to do with anything and is a piss poor dismissal.
We’re not responsible for what Blizz decides to do.
If you like it and enjoy it, then it has value.
Nope. I specifically surmised that the droprate might go from .03% to only a 1% or 2%. But seeing as how you’d rather make up stuff and not read, this isn’t surprising.
No. It doesn’t.
No one is insulting you. Please try to have a logical conversation if at all possible, but I doubt it is.
Me: “I think everyone should be able to enjoy holiday cosmetics, from new players to old and at every single level.”
