Wolfmane Announcement!
Recruitment Closing!
For the remainder of November and the month of December, Wolfmane will be going on a soft Hiatus for the holidays.
The holidays can be stressful with shopping, finals, traveling, etc! Because of this we will be powering down with only running some events and leadership taking some time for themselves. Of course we will have some members holding events so we won’t be completely quiet.
However, Story Circle and Mulgore Mondays will continue as scheduled. Some of us may just not be at every event! We would hate to bring in new recruits right as we are doing this so we will be closing recruitment now.
We will be returning to full strength following New Year’s Day!
Just dropping a quick bump!
Welcome to the new year! Recruitment is opening up again!

2/11/22 Wolfmane Story Recap
The Year of Unyielding Death has passed, and as the Earthmother rests through winter, so too do the Wolfmane. Winter is not a time of war, or fighting but instead a time to rest. The Wolfmane follow these traditions dearly, but even as the new year comes with a blanket of snow, so too does it bring new threats, new triumphs and new mysteries to be discovered.
The Naming Ceremony:
As the Wolfmane ended their previous year, they were gifted with a new member, a child born to Nita and High Brave Breutex at the turn of Winter’s Veil. With every new life comes a great joy for the tribe, and this one was no different. Following one month after her birth, the tribe began the new year with it’s first Naming Ceremony in some time. For the Shu’halo, the naming ceremony is a ritual conducted for a new child to welcome them into the tribe as full fledged members. The little one, Nina as she was to be called would be greeted by her father and mother as well as so many who were eager to meet the young one with gifts and cheer. Her’s would hopefully be a life blessed by the Earthmother.
Dark Portents:
Not all that occurred towards the beginning of the year would be so calm and full of joy however. While conducting a patrol of the braves, Breutex and several other Wolfmane encountered a few travelers, other Shu’halo. They introduced themselves as members of the Steelhorn tribe, a young group taking their first steps in the world as a new united people. First introductions are always tense, but gradually as night war on near the entrance to Lona’Fe, so too did the sense of trust between our own tribe and the Steelhorn. Topics changed hands quickly, and soon a rapport would be struck with the fledgling tribe, well wishes to all if possible.
Late into the night, one of the members of the Steelhorn Tribe, a hooded druid revealed himself to be Nuhao, the son of first Chieftain Raton and Brother to third Chieftain Dahote. His appearance was… different from those who had met him. As Nuhao spoke with the braves present, he revealed he had been brought along with the aid of the Bronze Dragonflight to the present time. He would limit his interactions though, so as not to meet his younger self it seemed. As part of the brief interaction, he brought dire portents. Something terrible was coming in the future for the Wolfmane. What said event would be, the druid would not say, instead only giving warning to the tribe.
Gatherings:
In the days following the dark warning, the Wolfmane were given more time to ponder the coming year ahead, but also to spend time with one another. High Brave Breutex taught the Wolfmane about Ice Fishing, bringing the tribe onto the Frozen Lake of Lona’Fe to fish. On another day, Lorekeeper Baoshii taught the Shu’halo about a variety of teas that he’d come to learn about during his time among the Tauren in addition to ceremonies from his homeland.
In Dalaran the Helping Hands Coalition set their first meeting to discuss future aid for the Kal’dorei people since the burning of their homeland. Some of the Wolfmane attended and offered their aid. The new year would feature it seemed would include work dedicated to restoring the Kal’dorei people in whatever way the Wolfmane could provide.
As the first month ends, the Wolfmane prepare for whatever comes their way next. Winter will end soon and with it, the Earthmother shall reawaken to bring Spring once again. When the snows return to the North, where shall the Wolfmane make their mark?

As winter neared it’s final shivering end, the Wolfmane were experiencing some new and unexpected upheavals in their midst. Strings of attacks against peoples up and down the barrens had driven many to wonder about if the Wolfmane were responsible. Indeed, some suspected that they had been responsible until the Wolfmane themselves had proven their innocence. Whomever had committed these attacks was trying to frame the tribe, that much was clear.
With bloody attacks carried out with arrows and markings of a Wolfmane war party, the Wolfmane had to investigate the scenes themselves, noticing the use of their symbols out of context and that the perpetrators of the crimes had tried to create fake Shu’halo tracks. Later, the Wolfmane investigated another incident with the troll girl who’d been “rescued” by the tribe. She seemed to indicate that some more ominous figure was leading these attacks against the Wolfmane from some place in the centaur infested lands of Desolace. Time will tell what their goals are, but with that information available, the Wolfmane plan to look into whomever is carrying out these heinous acts.
Not all that occurred in the recent weeks was bad news though. Lorekeeper Baoshii organized a little gathering from his homeland in the downtime. Gathering up a number of Shu’halo teas, he and several gathered Wolfmane were able to enjoy a tea ceremony along with explanations of their uses in Shu’halo culture. This melding of cultures for them both seemed to bring some joy to those who got to try the various tea’s through the evening.
In addition, Xun led the tribe out to the hotsprings of Feralas for some much needed rest and relaxation. Taking their swimsuits and smiles all around, the trip was perfect for taking care of some of the tensions that had cropped up in the past months.
Some days later, Ahruu, mate of the First Chieftain Raton had been preparing a unique ritual for the Wolfmane. In the months since Lorekeeper Baoshii and Third Chieftain Dahote had lost their limbs in battle against the scourge, Ahruu had been quietly researching various magical and scientific methods that could be used to restore the pair’s lost limbs. The first attempt ended in failure though as the necromantic magics of the runeblade used by the death knight that injured them cursed the wounds. Ahruu was undeterred though, and soon decided to ask the spirits with the tribe’s help for insight.
Gathering around a fire at the edge of the lake in Lona’Fe, Ahruu and several gathered members of the tribe made an offering to the spirits of the Wolfmane. Each member of the tribe offered a gift to the spirits, their gifts often of deep personal significance. When all offerings were made, two spirits appeared in the smoke, the patron spirits of the tribe. With their wisdom, Ahruu and the other gathered Wolfmane learned that four elemental spirit’s blessings would be needed to remove the curse from Baoshii and Dahote’s wounds. Each would also require a trial to be completed.
With new goals in mind for the tribe as well as new dangers looming on the horizon, let us look forward to the future. May the blessings of the ancestors and the spirits guide us to safety furthermore. - Lorekeeper Baoshii.
I love this, so much!
Thank you <3
Hunters gathered and departed Lona’fe for the Southern Barrens. Breutex, Baoshii, Raton, Gotosh, Nuhao, Kalso, Ruunak, and Bramblefang all set out together as a hunting party. Together they ran with the herd and brought down a total of four kodo! Kalos, Bramblefang, Runnak, and Breutex all dealt killing blows upon the kodo!
As the rest of the herd stormed off, various other Wolfmane made their way to the kills and began to work right after the last rites were given to the fallen beasts. A camp was established and the work into the night.
The following morning, food, resources, and stories of the hunt flowed into the village. Cheers and celebrations broke out! Every portion of the village erupted into feasting and merrymaking! The first hunt was a success! Wherever the hunters went, they were met with pats on the back and congratulations on a good hunt.
Respect to you guys for still being around.
Thank you, Huatar!
Best of luck to our Tauren friends and their allies.
