High Elves are not blue-eyed Blood Elves

And the remaining of high elves are nothing but extinct as a people :stuck_out_tongue:

How do you make an allied race when thereā€™s a handful of them left

Itā€™s the High Elves are politically and culturally different than Blue Eyed Blood Elves. Two different groups and aesthetics, same like saying Void Elves arenā€™t Blood Elves, but culturally and politically each are a different entity.

These new options of Blue Eyed Blood Elves are just Sinā€™dorei with Blue eyes they prescribe and share sinā€™dorei values. High Elves rejected sinā€™dorei ideology and embraced traditional Thalassian values and remain culturally High Elves within the alliance.

Void Elves are the newest branch of Thalassian Elves who diverged and adopted different customs. Iā€™d love to see more customization for all the elves in complexions.

Culturally the biggest gripe the HE fan base have is that Sinā€™dorei with blue eyes are culturally still Sinā€™dorei.

Ooh cool so we already got our foot in the door. Also Highelves are pretty neutral? Theyā€™ve been with the horde and alliance.

The amount of Blood Elves doesnā€™t matter. The amount of Void Elves is not greater than the amount of High Elves.

It would make absolute sense, now that fel is no longer a singular energy source, that the Blood Elves would revert to their original eye color, or adopt coloring informed by the energy source they are drawing upon.

So I have no problems with blue-eyed Blood Elves.

What would be nice is if Void Elves could see a little love in the skin/hair/eye color. Maybe blue and purple eyes, and skin tone that runs the cool beige to the deep blue. This would be a fair compromise. Because Void Elves ARE Blood Elves ARE High Elves. They are the same people, just different ideologies and different phenotype expressions. And letā€™s face it, the Alliance does not need any more purple and/or blue races. We need a bit of regular skin tones.

Though while I do not hold out hope that Void Elves will see some more fleshy-fleshtones, I do not begrudge Blood Elves any colored eyes.

I love how you only quote part of my post and make a bad claim.

Ask the Void Elves since they are a smaller group than all the Alliance High Elves

Are you sure ?

Any actual numbers to prove that point

Yo all of the goblins you see came out of like 4 boats. Gnomes whole city was wiped with a plague. Fabricating a race is a Activision specialty.

No. Blood elves are just green eyed high elves. Thatā€™s what everyone is essentially saying. They are the same. Lore and story alone arenā€™t enough to justify a 3rd high elf skin. Why not make demon hunters their own race since they have a unique story and have undergone changes dramatically more intense than blood elves did. But theyā€™re still labeled as blood elf or night elf.

Itā€™s not about the eyes or the lore or the skin. Itā€™s all about the title, which is silly.

I want Sylvanas red eyes so I can get my Sith mog on.

The corruption animations and red eyes with a Sith mog?

Cā€™mon now.

Pretty much.

Weā€™ve been recruiting so we cant say, but apparently we can field an army and a strike force. Remember the Lordaeron scenario at the start of the expansion? Thereā€™s an army of Void Elf rangers. We also have the Alliance Zandalari campaign fielding another army of Void Elves. Yet again somehow fielding several strike forces around Azeroth.

When you start a Void Elf you see High Elves and Blood Elves being recruited. We are given the impression that these elves are transitioning to becoming Void Elves.

There are no solid numbers to prove that here are more Void Elves than high elves.

But hereā€™s what we know:

Pre-Invasion population: 100%
Surviving Population: 10%

Number of survivors that renamed themselves to Sinā€™dorei: 90% (This is 9% of the original)
Number of survivors that remained Quelā€™dorei: 10% (This is 1% of the original value)

So 10% of the remaining population is High Elf. 90% are Blood Elves.

For Void Elves to be greater than High Elves, they need to have 11% of the total Thalassian population. Since they come from Blood Elves, to achieve that they need to take at least 1/9th of the Blood Elf population. THatā€™s roughly 13% of the Blood Elves to make a group larger than the High Elves.

The question is this: Is it reasonable to suggest that Magister Umbric pulled 1/9th of the surviving Blood Elf population to Telongrus Rift? I say it isnā€™t.

Thatā€™s absolutely correct. Void Elves are recruiting. At that rate? Hard to say.

No. People are questioning the OP because he flat out said BLOOD ELVES ARE NOT HIGH ELVES.

Those are his words. No one cares how you interpret what he said.

sure alphaā€¦

but folks have been asking for alliance for yearsā€¦ giving blue eyes to void elfs wouldnt make sense they would still be touched by the void.

unless in some reality right now Vereesa finally picks a side and drops the neutrality and joins the alliance which isā€¦ highly unlikely.

this is mostly pointed towards kaelā€™thas and his return looks like.

Vereesa Windrunner is not neutral.

She is a member of the Alliance. This has already happened.

Iā€™m expecting more skin tones added to Void Elves and voila High Elves by another name. Alleria our leader is light skinned High/Void Elf. So we should see Void Elves running her theme and flavor of Elf.

I hate to say it but I donā€™t think Blizzard is going to add the same race, with very slight color differences, to the same faction. The likelihood of Alliance High Elves is slim at best, barring a simple customization option for the existing Void Elves.

Then again they added Tauren with moose antlers to the Horde and called that an Allied Race soā€¦ who knows? Also again, we have no official confirmation that the blue eyes are even for playable races. So. Calm yoselves.

Well, Blood Elves are not High Elves. Because when Kaelā€™thas Sunstrider proclaims in the rise of the Blood Elves, he says they are no longer High Elves.

ā€œWe must put this misery behind us. We must enter a new chapter! And so I say to you that, as of this day, we are no longer high elves! In honor of the blood that was shed throughout this kingdom, in honor of the sacrifices of our brothers and sisters, our parents, and our children, in honor of Anasterianā€¦ as of this day we will take the name of our royal lineage! As of this day, we are sinā€™dorei! For Quelā€™Thalas!ā€
