High Elves, and how finally make them playable

Don’t worry, all you have said clearly shows you don’t know, so good on ya for asking!

People want to play the High Elves that never left the alliance, that didn’t become Blood Elves. Is quite that simple once you actually listen.

Unfortunately these same people never want to listen when they are repeatedly told ‘no’. And that “if you want to play a light skinned elf, the Horde is waiting for you”.

Doesn’t matter what people think or want, the fact is Blood Elves are High Elves and they are the past, present and future of the High Elven people. The Horde came to their aid when they needed it so they joined the Horde and have been a core Horde race for awhile now, they fit it just fine.

High Elf “fans” are wanting a core Horde race to be given to the Alliance, that’s just silly and unreasonable. Before you go claiming they were an Alliance race first they weren’t really, yes they worked with them from time to time but most of the race dislikes Humans. When the Humans called for aid the High Elves were the last to answer and the first to leave when no longer needed.

Enough of the High Elf threads.
Go add to an existing one.

BTW, disagreeing with you is not hate.

Well, that’s what a non sequitur.

Cause you see, I’m talking about the argument for High Elves, and argument made with the hope the development team changes their mind.

You, on the other hand, only put value on the answer “no” regardless of the arguments being made.

“Because daddy said so” might be enough for you, but for others, it’s not that simple. Authority doesn’t make right.

Why can’t this spam thread just die

Except, you know, from all those High Elves that never became Blood Elves nor joined the horde. It’s like the sheer thought of racial ideological hegemony not being a thing make people loose their darned minds.

High Elves exists on the alliance, that’s not up for debate. Only their playability.

Actually thats wrong.

Just like you are ignoring the hopes and arguments of dissenters.

And because you say it’s wrong, it’s wrong? Come on! where is the argument for it! It literally didn’t take you one reply to fall into authoritative statements without any argument.

Come on Swift, you know it will soon. Enjoy or just ignore, the ride.

I already stated my argument.

Of course you ignored it. So I will say it again. Please pay attention this time.

They aren’t going to make high elves playable, because making Blood Elves a neutral race from a game play perspective would be idiotic and short sighted. We don’t need a 3rd blood elf model in the game. We don’t need 2 of them on Alliance when the original is on Horde.

I honestly don’t care about the lore argument, because the lore has absolutely no bearing on if the high elves will or will not be playable.

Is very clear that you are unable for a smart ideas interaction.

The traitors in the Alliance are 10% of 10%, actually less than that now after all these wars they’ve taken part in. As I said before they are destined to die out or have their blood diluted by mating with Humans. They do not matter as far as the High Elves future is concerned.

Blood Elves are what represent the High Elven people, the live in the High Elven kingdom, they are the future of the High Elves. The ones in the Alliance will only be remembered as traitors.

How people keep making this argument with Void Elves literally existing?

Because the Helvers want it to keep going despite their protests.

I heard that we will be able to play as High Elves in WC3 Reforged. At least until the TFT storyline when they get used up and thrown away by an Alliance Grand Marshal which causes them to resent the Alliance and turn hostile.

Okay so your agument is:

-You think making blood elves neutral would be idiotic.

-We don’t need a a 3rd BE model, specially not two on the alliance.

Besides that being subjective AF, I don’t necessarily disagree with it. While I think that opening some races to “cross faction” would be interesting, High Elves nor live nor die by that argument.

Void Elves are what they are because they HAD to look different. I would have been very happy if VE’s were made out of High Elves. I wouldn’t be here today if that was the case.

Yet here I am.

Thing is, High Elves don’t have to have the same model than Blood Elves. We can have a different model (aesthetic and behavioral differentiation is not biological) This is not about the model.

High Elves can look like humans with pointy ears or pink NE’s for all I care.

And is quite a sad day when lore has no bearing on the game.

I play this game for the lore, so personally that’s my priority and what I try to enjoy. Cause let’s be real, as a game, WoW is harder to enjoy this expansion than any other.

If you want to role-play as one of the 10 high elves left in the world that live in Dalaran then be my guest LOL

Void elves were created as a compromise. A way to give the Alliance the blood elf model, without copy/pasting the Blood elves.

Since blood elf copy/paste was off the table, they did something similar, yet different.

The high elves have to look like blood elves. If you want to use the human model, dont you dare ever bring up a single lore argument ever again.
