It would be easier for Blizzard to just grab the Kul Tiran hair textures, since they already work on the void elf hair styles. That would be a little bit more different too I think.
thats an intended feature. playable void elves have cold and dark hair themes that are attributed to their void nature. the blood elf aesthetic is now just warm fair and natural hair. so again you have to look at this from a holistic view of the game like blizzard does, if you dont want to be a void elf then play a blood elf. theres no point in further damaging blood elf player uniqueness and the diversity between void/blood elves because of an extremely small group of players. uniqueness is a very important part of an mmo after all
And this was said after I pointed out that, in the event devs decide to effectively 100% copy-paste Belf aesthetics in Velves, then the aesthetics Belves would have to get in compensation would HAVE TO BE absolutely exclusive for the Belves as a form of compensation for the race losing it´s esclusive visual aesthetics. And do you know what did your âheroâ answer? Let me quote:
Implying regardless of my point, Velves would STILL be able to continue poaching visual uniqueness from the Belf model. Which sorry but IS a dishonest argument, cause as much as it bothers people Belves are NOT a second rate product on this game and they deserve to get some sort of visual uniqueness like every other race in this game has.
Tl;dr: next time you jump to âdefend peopleâ, do the HONEST thing and go back to read the whole freaking argument so you don´t end up proving my argument (you know, the one about you people arguing dishonestly by proxy of ignoring the whole conversation and quotiong only the parts that are convenient for yourselves).
I´ll say to you the same I said to the Helfer: go way back and read the whole conversation and then you will be able to understand why the stuff was said the way it was done. Context is VERY important in the communication process, and partial quotes are not the ideal vehicle to get the idea about what people was trying to say.
Too late.
Well, my latest points in this thread have been about WHY devs didn´t simply implement Belf clones with the nameplate âHigh Elfâ in regards to visual aesthetic exclusivity in Legion (Ergo, Velves) and how, in the case THIS cloning happens, then they devs will have to give yet another brand of visual exclusivity to the Belf race to make it unique once again. And ity has to be the type of visual exclusivity that makes sense for the WHOLE class/race combo, not only for niche cases.
Apparently for some Helfers this is STILL too much to ask, and they will want to continue with the copy process (the phrase âif it makes sense for Velvesâ is terrible because as canon ex-Belves this facilitates the copying of EVERYTHING Belf on Velf).
Thatâs the thing, weâve already identify that this is indeed a âyouâ issue, just not a me issue. You conveniently ignore that both VE and BE look essentially the same, the only things keeping them apart visually itâs a color palette and tentacles⌠and if you change those two things, you will end up with a blood elf. Anyone can see this, but youâre purposely ignoring it because you want blood elves in the Alliance with extra steps, but you wonât downright say this.
Fine by me. Villainize me all you want. If itâs the price for not ignoring the whole picture, Iâll gladly take it.
First, you need to relax. Itâs not about feeling âsuperiorâ, weâre discussing pixel elves (so much for making a big fuss over something minor, hm?).
Second, I babysat 4 much younger brothers, and considering that 2 of them would chase teenage me while brandishing a broom with the full intention of smacking me with it, I do laugh when I see a child in that situation.
