I do believe that there are High Elves in the Knights of the Silver Hand. However, itâs a topic i can honestly say iâm not too familiar with.
Personally, talking for myself here, whether theyâre able to be a Paladin or not, isnât something thatâs a must for me. Iâve always wanted to main a High Elven Mage - and thatâs finally something iâm able to somewhat do now, with these new customisation options.
I will say though, High Elves have been shown to have Paladins - like that Dalaran High Elf Paladin trainer âRulen Lightsreapâ.
Perhaps some of them return home to the fold in Quelâthalas and take on the name Sinâdorei with their kin on the Horde.
Perhaps studying the void isnât a requirement for new VEs and they can simply acknowledge Alleria as their leader and adhere to her society which is built on studying the Void.
I mean I hate to be that person but there arenât like millions of them how many times are you going to rephrase this question to arrive at what ever point youâre trying to make.
And there was 13 void elves around when they became an allied race. There is high elves whom hates the horde, as well as ones that would undoubtly refuse to study the void as they are sustained through moon wells. They deserve to be playable and have a story told too.
Well if we get story to encompass HEs into VE, and we can look like the HEs, and get HE classes.
And other groups rejoin Quelâthalas maybe for BE fans that want to see some of their kin to RP as HEs who returned to the fold.
There really isnât that much left to ask for on either side. So I guess good luck but a lot of us are content at that point. And if you arenât thatâs fine, but allowing people to be happy takes no effort on your part.
Theyâre attempting to correct the compromise. Iâm not going to fault them for it. Whats more it does no good to dwell on what could have been and to stay mad about that, I think we need to see what we are getting which is a lot, ask for the lore to go with it, and proceed from there. And I wonât think less of people who still feel they dislike the compromise it is what it is, but donât try to rain on peoples victory either.
except it wasnât an inch, more like a shattering of a wall of faction bounderies. By making the most butt-pulled race into something it shouldnât be and rewarding them for it.
What victory? All I see is a distruction of a race ppl grew on even though it was butt-pulled in an attempt to make it what it is not, high elves.
Believe me when I say a lot of people are very happy, we do want the lore to go along with it, just like the Sanâlayn community has said in theory if they get something like this, or other ARs. But overall its mostly a lot of happy people, and people coming in the discord all over, or popping in threads to congratulate the HE community which I think is really nice.
I also am not here to police how anyone thinks of the compromise. But I just think its wrong to push this idea everyone has to be of the same mind set, a lot of us are happy, there may be varying degrees of other people who arenât but I dislike the idea because some are unhappy we must all be when thats kinda far from the truth.
Youâre pretty cool about this. Itâs more just this wave of people who took this and are turning it into a wave of demands for more and more before we even know whatâs going to be part of this. And Iâm a sarcastic grump, so Iâm gonna comment on it.
Especially since some of the stuff Iâm seeing here is kinda obnoxious in (not any of the people Iâve really been talking with today) disregarding the feelings of blood elf and void elf players in order to get the last few percentage for it to be 100% of everything they want.
Omg a dream scenario⌠best way to put a final coffin to the âmuh neutral Silvermoonâ and similar retarded petitions.
Heck, maybe if the devs give you guys your pallies on Velves (I know it´s quite ridiculous from a lore PoV, but then again the whole basis of the Velf lore is a clusterfck of badly written lore), we can get back a less âlong eared Humansâ version for our own Blood Knights -think going back to âBlood Knights and Belf priests don´t actually worship the light, they just merely channel it from their big bad Sunwell battery because for them it´s just another magical source, periodâ.
Man, better the cosmetics than the lore or actual crucial gameplay features making both races unique (at least from a purely Belf fan PoV). Who cares if Velf PCs can look extremely similar to Belf PCs outside of combat, the important thing is that this similar appearance still doesn´t mean them Velves get to take actual exclusive Belf stuff (territory, racials, lore, important NPCs) from the Horde Belf fans. Silvermoon is still ours, Kael´thas and other very prominent Belf characters are still ours, the whole narrative arc depicting the Belf cultural evolution is still us and so on⌠(and before someone says Velves are JUST like Belves lorewise, I say: no. The Velves got the short end of the stick regarding this for anyone that knows how to read).
you follow a different ideology, itâs that simple. you drain dark magics, youâre not a high elf.
iâm seeing this idea that âidentities are flexibleâ thrown out now, and i actually wish i could physically slap the holy hell out of anyone saying something this stupid. this is some rachel dolezal-tier idiotic thinking. youâre not a helf, you are a velf, and thereâs nothing you can do to change that.
