High Elf POSITIVITY Thread šŸ˜Ž

Is it really? I havenā€™t played a Zandalari yet so idk. But thatā€™s a good sign if thereā€™s already something like this ingame for an existing race.

People are asking for lore to be added. High Elves could be learning from the VEā€™s rn but not change anything, maybe it opens their mind to being open to being more pragmatic about deeper learning. Who knows. The point is we could see HEā€™s swearing fealty to Alleria, and taking on the VE name. High Elf in all but name. Which would open the HE classes up too, and so what, Alliance needs more Paladin classes its equal as is I was told, yet Horde shamans still have more races playable to shaman, Paladin being the class given to Horde in BC is equal, but the Horde class given to Alliance in BC isnā€™t equal? Add in more paladins.

I think the issue is that the alliance has fewer Paladin options than we should, even tho we technically have 5ā€¦itā€™s like having 3 still, with the redundancy of Dwarves and Draenei.

Who knows, maybe they unfold some story of the velves to justify their customizations?

Which is kinda sorta why I said Paladins should be exclusive to the High Elf customization options.

Which still wonā€™t work due to theyā€™re racialsā€¦

It could in a way, penumbral calm doesnā€™t have a visual que so that one is easy, entropic embrace can just be a glimmer of arcane or silver particles instead of void, the rift ability is a little harder but it can just look like a slower blink.

Okay lore is fine and iā€™m all about expanding lore but there is just absolutely 0 ways to ever make a void elf paladin viable.

Alleria just being near the sunwell caused a horrible chain reaction and summoned a bunch of void monsters. Blizzard has already shown that itā€™s not possible.

The minute a void elf pledged themselves to the light they would literally explode into pieces. People asking for this just makes me honestly question peoples thought process.

Also, iā€™m not sure if this is true but how can a high elf be a paladin if paladins werenā€™t introduced until they turned into blood elves and enslaved a Naaru?

Iā€™ll say it again. Iā€™m okay with customization. Iā€™m okay with lighter skin colors, im okay with lighter eye colors. What iā€™m not okay with is people highjacking race and trying to change something that has been established just because it would fit their immersion better.

If the lore supported the customization options being HEā€™s who now call themselves VEā€™s its safe to say they arenā€™t the same level of Void as you. It would just be another part of your society now in the VEā€™s.

I doubt they would add a toggle. I donā€™t think they should. Void elves should be void elves. High elves deserves theyā€™re own slot, or at least half-elves does.

The High Elf paladins, are paladins the same way Humans and Dwarves are. The Blood Elves forcibly manipulated the Light through torturing a Naaru because they lost faith in it. Liadrin for example, used to be a priest of the Light - as you can see in the Blood Elf heritage armour quest.

Right, they forcibly manipulated the light, this was after they became blood elves and became Blood Knights.

Where were high elf paladins before they enslaved a Naaru?

Why?

Void Elves can be priests. Obviously they can use the light, unless they heal with the void, in which case it works with paladins the same way, itā€™s just about how they use the power.

I completely agree but if this is the road Blizzard wants to take to try and give us High Elves, itā€™s not out of the ordinary to ask for High Elf options, since out of the 2, High Elves are more popular.

which again many people have stated.

Give them unique racials or change the visual of the racials to better fit the High Elf aesthetic.

Problem is, adding BE customizations to Void elves crosses a line that should not be crossed. Whatā€™s next? Nightborne looking like NE? Forsaken with human appearances? They could have avoided this with a proper compromise of making half-elves and giving them theyā€™re own rigs, and say they are apart of the silver covenent, maybe even squad led by Arator the redeemed.

They wonā€™t and it wonā€™t be right if they did. There is ppl that likes the void theme of the void elves and it would rob them of it.

I see it as a good thing. It allows the HE narrative to be told in a way that doesnā€™t threaten BE themes, under the VE name.

It adds another potential facet to VE society if lore is added.

The alternative is to rile up HE fans to what? To make them hate this? What does that accomplish other than trying to push HE fans to want a separate AR which I donā€™t fault if there are some that still do, but what Iā€™m saying is this is a compromise we like and can work with if lore is added. So why are people so intent on trying to ruin it for us? I say ignore them.

Priests and Paladins arenā€™t really a good comparison though. Priests utilize light but a Paladin is infused with it.

Kind of like how an undead priest can be a holy priest, it causes them pain but itā€™s still very possible.

A void elf is void infused, a paladin is light infused if those two met up:

Void Elf: I PLEDGE MYSELF TO THE LI - ā€”Explodes into visceral piecesā€”

Magister Umbric: ā€œOh, so THATā€™S what happensā€¦ā€

Has anyone started working on transmogs for the new customization being added to Void Elves and High Elves?

I have not! But Iā€™m most excited for my VE to use the customizations. Iā€™m not going to RP as a HE personally but keep my former BE background, Iā€™m a big Sylvanas fan so I want to imagine I originally joined up with the VEs to spy on them for her. And since her leave of the Horde Iā€™ve become attached to the Alliance and itā€™s values.

The thing is, in doing this, they crossed that line, not only do we get blood elf skin tones, we get regular blue and purple eyes, and they do as well.

Blizzard has effectively made Blood Elves neutral in the eyes of the Horde with this change, thereā€™s essentially no reason for us not to ask for regular hair styles for what has essentially become High Elves-lite.

Right but you said Alleria even being near the holy sunwell was dangerous, why do Void elves get to be priests in any sense then?

Even if they donā€™t infuse themselves with light, even using it should make them explode. People are saying they heal with void instead of light, if the two are interchangeable in that way, why canā€™t void paladins be a thing?

Except they are not high elves lite, but blood elves lite. Do not reward blizz for being lazy.

Gameplay; the reason they can be priests is due to the shadow spec. lore-wise there is no such thing a holy/disc priest void elf.
