Yea some of the high elf community seems to be trying to hijack your race now which isnāt very cool.
They are all high elves, frankly, people can call themselves whatever they want. /sigh
In my opinion, people should care more about the thalassians in overall instead of the factions of the same race.
I mean, at least this is what makes me like velves, belves and helves. Sure, some of the flavours are better than vanilla, but in overrall, itās still the same race. Their core is what makes them interesting to me.
Mmm. Well. Blue haired High Elves have always been aroundā¦ and itās not impossible weāll get more haircuts and hair options.
Both sides got blue eyes and flesh tones so an argument now over hair color would be silly.
So cute, good for the new high elves!
Weāre the Renādorei - ergo, we are void elves.
People can frame it however they want but thatās not gonna change.
Weāre still turning purple during battle and we still have a void theme.
Iām just worried for the integrity of my own race and its void theme. People are demanding things like paladins and druids now because they want their High Elf gameplay out of our void elf/rendorei race. I just donāt take well to stuff like that.
Where did you see that void elves are getting blue hair? Those hair colors shown are ones weāve always had access to and I thought it was only death knights who could have blue hair?
Honestly, we have to wait an see of this has lore repercussions; say, High Elves and Void Elves join under one entity with shared goals and politics and void usage becomes common.
Because TBH, the name doesnāt matter.
My Renādoreiās got blue hair?
and weāre still actively recruiting high elves. We are literally talking about semantics here. The Alliance high elves can now be void elves, itās all the same. If someone wants to identify as a less void identifying elf within the void elves, who cares?
People have been able to identify as less fel infused blood elves for years, itās literally the same thing. Blood elves are blood elves and void elves are void elves, and they are all high elves. Itās literally just semantics.
Iām getting to play a quelādorei as I imagined on the Alliance. I donāt care that Iām also a renādorei. They are not mutually exclusive, the state individuals exist in is not that simple. We can be Quelādorei and Renādorei all at the same time.
I imagine they wonāt really mention it. But weāll see. I guess if theyāre placing things.
Maybe weāll see if they do stuff for Wildhammer Dwarves in the old world.
DM me you sexy night elf
Iām going with a void elf from one of them High elf wayfarers you see in the rift.
Looks like a high elf, was a high elf, choose to learn like Alleria.
My actual high elf will be my SI:7 double agent working out of horde lands.
If we get story to have the SC officially swear fealty to Alleria. And take the name VE, they would be HE in all but name just like BEs. It doesnāt take away from the VE story it just adds to it, like the BEs getting their sunwell back added to the story. Different things but VEs are now connected with HE themes somewhat, and arguably the original idea behind VEs anyways was to make HE fans happy, so now they get to tell two stories from one race and I think thatās cool as it all falls under the name Void Elf.
But how many Blood Elf posters go around obnoxiously declaring themselves HEs? Who cares if people want to be a High Elf VE, you can still be the Void Elf aspect of the race.
Still doesnāt change the fact that once they toy with the void they are now renādorei.
Iām pissed that the high elf campers are trying to steal the identity of void elves, already begging for less voidy asthestics, void elf paladins and other such garbage, claiming it as their own and saying that they had some type of big victory.
Yep. Identities are always flexible, specially if they are cultural biproducts. It all depends on the situation.
True, but then itās literally just about looking the part -which is better than what we have now- but to me this has always been an issue of lore continuation for High Elves.
Alleria has less void aesthetics, our literal leader. Like Lights, come on girlllll. This is not diluting the renādorei what so ever, itās adding to them.
How does trying to control how other people want to play their renādorei affect your experience? Maybe itās best if we stop trying to project what we want on others. Just a thought!
Yea, Iām perfectly fine with them ROLEPLAYING as a high elf. But Iām not fine with them trying to advocate and twist the void elf story into what they think they deserve and want.
