But even up until the point of the return of the Sunwell. The use of Fel was used to mitigate hardship felt by the people.

That is incorrect. The fel energy was used primarily by warlocks, but was largely not conducted by the larger populous. They would have been horrified, because it was even more abhorring than draining arcane magic from living things.

So the model change to display a more rugged life style has to come from them.

This doesn’t work considering the blood elves literally endured horrific plights for 7 years. Like…none of that is well supported, particularly since the far striders regularly patrol the ghostlands
The high elves of stormwind and dalaran largely had no issues as far as I recall, due to being surrounded by magical artifacts and being relatively safe in their cities. The blood elves largely had to deal with constant attacks from the undead until they gain alliance from the forsaken in TBC.

Honestly if blood elves get tattoos, I would expect it reflected in high elf NPC’s too.

Out of curiosity do you mean Calia? Is she confirmed and implemented as leader yet, I mean no disrespect I might have missed something but I genuinely dislike her. I got the impression a strong case for Voss to lead might be made with a thrall like move when he acknowledged Voljin on Calia’s part to say “no you lead”.

Voss can keep their identity while still being less Sylvanas like, though I do side with Sylvanas anyways but that’s regardless this situation.

I am … happy? About this then, I’d prefer Voss to Calia tbh, not that I play Forsaken but I always thought Blood Elves and Forsaken share a bit of a bond, reflected on start, characters as well you start friendly with them as opposed to the other Horde races. Anyways make no mistake I am still loyal to the Dark Lady this is not a compromise of my loyalty

Aye. The two races had intrinsic trust probably due mostly to Sylvanas and the Forsakens assistance bringing them into the Horde.
