High Elf POSITIVITY Thread 😎

I really, really doubt Alleria and the rest of the Void Elves are lenient to Blood Elves, especially considering that the latter would kill the former on sight.

Because it mentions it there. You can link it here and someone can grab it for me but it’s late here and with everything going on I have a monumental amount of work to get done if I want to have a weekend.

Though if we’re being honest you only go a few steps with this sort of thing before taking swipes at me especially if you don’t get the response you were hoping for, and it’s often a stretch. So at this point it may not be worth much to me either.

Have a goodnight, stay healthy.

It’s just frustrating seeing people pat Lordaeron on the back, but it was Arathi in the Troll Wars, which essentially became SW, who then got their butts kicked in the First War, and fled to Lordaeron to gather everyone and that is when Anasterian was called on to fill the debt and did a poor job… Until he saw what the Horde was doing thanks to Alleria.

Unless WoWpedia is wrong, which I have yet to hear about any retcons or mistakes so far.

Yeah, why is that anyway? I’ve always wondered. Are they so disappointed in Sylvanas’ failure to defend Quel’thalas, that they despise anyone who takes up her profession?

I ran out of likes, so here you go

Thank you!

I’m not 100% convinced. But if that was the case, I’d settle for even just one scenario of a conflict between the two people. Have Blood Elves invade the Telegros Rift or something.

They want a change of leadership in Silvermoon is pretty radical, and shows they’re overtly Alliance.

Where are we getting Void Elves aren’t fighting Blood Elves from though? They both fought the Fourth War for their respective sides.

They signed up with the Alliance, were exiled by their own people, and publicly sided with their enemies, I think we are past the “We’re studying Void to help Silvermoon” phase.

I think Void Elves open up a nice potential friendship on Alliance for High Elves when they become playable, as in story narratives / interests they do together the dialogue is interesting and funny and shows friendship between the two Thalassians on Alliance. But I think High Elves make the better rivals for Blood Elves, and the schism / feud is inherently more interesting.

The hunter thing? No, it’s just part of the vow to Always Blame the Huntard.

I am a huntard main, so I feel okay giving them crap.

Then there’s that whole being banished by them issue.

Partly.

The rest is because they had a large chunk of them stay Alliance and Hunters where the more traditional and non magic types at the time. Since BEs didn’t have Warriors at first.

Most of the Blood Elves left are basically “City Elves” after they where wiped out.

Also they where pushing the Blood Knights as the new superior path forward.

They wouldn’t want to harm anyone defending the city though. Or at least I don’t think they would. They were those very people a few months ago. Every other race on the Alliance wouldn’t hesitate to do it though.

I haven’t seen or heard any mentions of it. They both took part in the war, but they had plenty of different people to fight. As far as I’m aware, we didn’t see the Ren’dorei and Sin’dorei interact with each other at all, which kind of leads me to thinking the way I do. But I suppose it is just headcanon? There’s nothing to suggest they wouldn’t fight each other, though in a believable story, I highly doubt they would(if we’re going off the simple fact that they’re salty over being exiled).

Now they’re in a stage where they have no choice in the matter. They don’t get to decide which side they’re fighting on now, because they’d lose their minds to the Void if not for Alleria–and she made them join the Alliance in return for her teachings. If they had the choice to go back to the Sin’dorei and Horde, I wouldn’t put it past them to take it.

What I want to see is how they would have been perfectly alright with fighting the Sin’dorei, regardless of Alleria and the Alliance helping them out in their hour of need. Maybe develop their backstory to being something more than just, “I exiled them for studying the Void”? We could learn that while they were out on their study, Sin’dorei were sent to kill them or some bs.

I’m also hoping for something like this too. But if High Elves are never made playable, I want the Void Elves to at least be able to replicate their motives and desires to fight both the Sin’dorei and Horde.

Dude, its still in TBC era where lorthemar is hated for taking over.
Why do you guys insist on dredging that up?

BE dis have warriors, everyone has had warriors. There was no large chunk staying alliance either .
Furthermore, there is no city elf nonsense because they werent wiped out and the far striders have been a major part of the BE lore even since TBC.
Lets not oush headcanon.

There are no specifics about who died, and the BE certainly had elves who swung a sword.

Victory will be mine :sunglasses:

Nathanos being killed by Tyrande would be icing on the cake as well. Cinematic is required where she takes him out with ease after the Darkshore debacle.

Personally, I want the NE and Worgen to have their revenge, Tyrande can decimate Nythanos, and Genn Greymane can rip Sylvanas apart. That would be a fitting end.

Oh no Ely!!! This will be big sad for me! I would have to see a organized RP Padme Amidala esque crowd lined event with the same sad music in the back ground as my character solemnly walks on in sadness.

Garithos is a good start on the “why” end of the Lore. (Before anyone says “HEY! Garithos didn’t represent the Alliance!”) It doesn’t matter what we as observers know about the Grand Marshall’s rise to his position being largely because the chain of command was mostly wiped out and he had inherited his father’s title of Baron…to the Blood Elves he was the Grand Marshall of the Alliance:

“Garithos blamed the elves for the loss of his home and family, believing that they had diverted troops that could have been used to defend humanity. After the war, Garithos inherited his father’s title and continued his service in Lordaeron’s military.[6]”

“Garithos gave his human army the mission that he assumed the Alliance should have always had: the preservation of humanity above all else.”

  • Garithos did not enjoy having to work with the blood elves[9] or dwarves,[10] believing that the Alliance’s mission should be to preserve humanity above all else[6] and that the Alliance should never have accepted the elves in the first place.[9][8]*

  • The observatories repaired by the Alliance Remnants discovered that an undead strike force was coming from the west. Garithos returned to the front and left Kael’thas awaiting orders. Then, an Emissary sent by Garithos informed Kael’thas that he had to engage the strike force from the west, but also recalled all foot soldiers, cavalry and support teams to the front, leaving Kael with only his blood elven troops.[9] Garithos had hoped that the elves would fall before the Scourge, and no longer be his problem;[14] the missions given to Kael’s greatly reduced force were intended to be suicidal, impossible for the elves to complete.[15]*

Because they had no allies, and would have been slaughtered otherwise, Kael joined forces with the Naga against the Scourge…which led to: “Garithos condemned Kael’thas and all of his men to death. He explained that he never trusted the elves, and felt it was a mistake to accept them into the Alliance in the first place.[9] He arrested Kael and his servitors and locked them in the dungeons of Dalaran to await their execution, under the guard of Kassan.[16]”

I’m going to say this again: Kael and his people didn’t know what we as players know. What they knew was that the Grand Marshall of the Alliance did this, and that means - to them - the Alliance did this.
