And no where did I state if I care about them getting blonde hair. They should not get blood elf blonde hair.
Which I agreed with you on a few comments in…
What did you think I meant by “They shouldn’t get belf hair models but some additional colours would be nice.”
I said it three times!
Great. Then I’m not a hypocrite. Moving on.
Imagine if Blizzard decided to retcon high elves having blue eyes at all. Say they had red eyes and the blue in the rts was simply to make the models match faction colors. Wouldn’t want to confuse people now.
Sorry if I offended.
There are a lot of folks that think velves getting some additional hair colours is like the pinnacle of evil. It’s kind of hilarious. lol
Fine. Give them Human Blonde Hair… Oh wait, that is also the Blood Elves too.
I don’t care if they get human blonde hair or their own variation of it. I really don’t. I’m against the idea because I’m incredibly annoyed the void elf theme has been obliterated for helf lite, but I don’t care if it actually happens. It’s quite clear the void elf identity doesn’t mean much to Blizzard.
They could have avoided the issue by giving folks what they wanted to begin with. The alliance got shafted on just about every allied race.
They didn’t get anything they were asking for save Dark Iron Dwarves. It was kind of embarrassing.
Well, remember, this is Blizzards choice. Not the players choice, Blizzards.
“This is another place where there was a race, High Elves, in the game which hadn’t really been represented on player characters. Blood Elves were the closest, but had felt green eyes. It was an opportunity where we had a number of elven races, and we could tie it back to their roots, letting players choose where they want to align and what fantasy to play out. We did have a lot of discussion about it, ultimately we might do more in the future, but for now we’re providing the option to have a few High Elf customizations available.”
This is allowing everyone, on both factions, to play the real High Elf fantasy through the Blood Elves and Void Elves.
I feel like if they would’ve just done what I said to do when they decided to give them Belf skin colors, we wouldn’t be in the situation we are now with so many hating on Velfs.
I don’t care to be honest. I really don’t.
What was your suggestion again? I’ve forgotten if I saw it in the past.
Rhielle, I am never going to get used to you being level 42. I rather you go back to being level 102.
Create a storyline based around the scholars in Telogrus Rift. Show how they figured out how to sort of copy how Alleria took on her Void power by using Void Lords instead of Naaru.
That way, the 30ish or so Velfs that exist and probably some of them died in the war, could be replenished with new ones from those Helfs and Belfs in the Rift.
Which means, it’s basically like DKs: a second generation almost. They kind of copied Alleria’s method, so they can keep their skin tone. But they couldn’t go all the way the same, so some of the differences are still there, like the hair.
blood elves are getting purple eyes?
damn i feel bad for voidcucks.
LOL!
But I’m the ultimate answer now, though!
Hahaha. But love the new look Night Elf you set yourself up with.
Thank you!
That would have worked if they altered Alleria a bit I think.
Having your faction leader look so different is a bit odd. Though I guess you could say that Umbric is their leader instead.
They did largely solve that issue with the skin tones though.
Yeah, she doesn’t look that different with the skin tones now. And hers was from a Naaru. So it’s bound to be different. Which is why I liked my idea. I mean, ffs, those scholars have been out there studying this stuff for almost two years now. They should’ve figured something out by now! LOL
