The idea of adjusting the body using the human and elf models as an example is an exciting concept for me.
Hated the blood elf models after they were updated in WoD because the run cycle, (something I’m looking at often) has always bugged me to death with how stiff and goofy it looks to me.
Having some kind of a model merge/adjustment would be really cool. I’d play one instantly.
I always had a headcanon that the ranger/farstrider tattoos were made using nature magic. Thus empowering a rangers natural and trained skills just a bit more.

I have brought this before on the VE thread I think, but given that Alleria is getting a new armor, it could be fun if her old one was made available to players.
In my ideal scenario, we’d get a shared “Farstrider” heritage set for VE and BE, which would also have specific recolors for each of the thalassian groups (and both get the green one). Imagine a customization unlock quest that gives us the armor, warpaint customization and the “High Elf” tag.

TBH I am not too pressed about an specific High Elf heritage, because I really hope Midnight comes with outdoor sets that fulfill that thalassian vibe. It’s likely, we just need some recolors that fit the HE vibe.

not sure they think about new players very much, just based on how confusing new players say it is to get started. the game is just too big

TBH I don’t think they would have done a lot of concept art for the Warfront before it was scraped. It really feels like it was more of an idea that something on active developed that was shelved.
But come Midnight, at least one of the patches HAS to come with a Thalassian Outdoor set; I just really hope the recolors are fitting for all our fantasies!

I think most people who wanted high elves just dont care any more.
Void elves fill their spot. They got the model, the customisation, there are void elves that come from the non blood elf, high elf background.
People got pretty close to what they wanted and just moved on.
