The argument would be invalid if I was in charge of making decisions. It’s not my decision for a 3rd dwarf race and I don’t like it. We already have high elves in the game. Look in the mirror. You either lack in reading comprehension or you are trolling.

The only person arguing in favor for a high elf race is you. Nobody else is adamant about it because people have enough sense to know it will be duplicate content with nothing new. Funny how you think you are the entire “room”.

Except for the arguing back and forth parts, I’ve always loved these kinds of threads and discussions for years now. I bookmarked this one in particular as the artwork is really outstanding and an inspiration to me (practicing graphic design in Illustrator). But I’ve always only lurked on these threads due to not knowing the lore enough, and Wow Wiki and Wowpedia are just “rabbit hole” magnets to me. I decided to remedy my lore gaps and just ordered Chronicle Vol. 1 on Amazon, and found other, older versions of WoW books available at my library. After watching some of the Blizzcon videos several times over on The War Within and what storyline we’re going into in those expacs, I wanted to really focus on the lore around Arathor and the High Elves. Excited to finally get all my lore puzzle pieces put together.
PS: Hats off to those designers who created the artwork in this thread. Absolutely gorgeous originals and reproductions!

Something I’d really like to see added in is the original blue high elf eyes, the ones with the white scleras and defined iris. They were really beautiful and I’m sad they aren’t player options considering every High Elf NPC had them for years and years. The closest we have to them is the one purple option with a defined iris but it’s not the same ;-;

Funnily enough it’s the same “purple” eye that was added for both BE and VE, but without a glow texture. Really wish we could turn the glow off.

I want them to be their own race with their own racials and heritage quests.

While much of this thread assumes they’ll be things added to void elves (and copied to blood elves) , it also covers the concepts if they become their own allied race.

I figure Earthen became a thing so I can’t say high elves won’t be.

As much as I think they should have just given us them instead of trying to appease everyone with void elves, void elves is what we got. I’d rather see all these ideas just get attached to them instead. Like the braids instead of tentacles! Super cool!

Aye, I do think these would do well added to void elves if they’re not getting their own AR.

Additional heritage in the form of Man’ari type questlines would help as well.

This is surely the best solution to add the high elves of the Alliance, Blizzard could also share the customizations between VE and BE if the Thalassian elves become a united people in Midnight.

I wonder if this isn’t really the plan.

When they made the new customisations a headline thing for the shadowlands announcement I thought it had finally clicked with them. That they finally realised people really, really, really care a lot about how their character looks and it is worth investing the time in. That seemed reinforced by the extensive customisation dracthyr received. But since then it’s just been trickles and disappointment.

Yeah it was a real let down.

I keep hoping they realize how much this matters and actually seriously work on it.

They are likely being held off for whatever scheduling. Similar to heritage armor.

These customizations should be added to void and blood elves. We don’t need another Thassasian elf type to look exactly like belfs and void elves with some additional color variations. It’s a waste of content.

The thread assumes mostly that these will be added to void and blood elves but talks about concepts for an AR in case that’s planned for Midnight.

This is what I’m guessing is that they held back on some customizations because they were developing some things for Midnight but didn’t want to spoil things. They want to give enough there to make it special.

also, just normal sclera for melee classes of helfs, since they avoided much of the mana addiction due to not being magic users.

Found I had not actually included the picture I had for Eye glow intensity/white sclera. Its been added now.

I know it’s already unique to Demon Hunter elves, but it would be cool if the tatoo options gave certain benefit to Thalassian Elves’ power similarly like they do to Demon Hunters.
