Troll and Draenei heritage armor are both on the 10.2.7 patch (spring) roadmap for 2024.
Happy new years!
With the Warthin and Midnight on the horizon I suspect that many new customizations will come to void elves and blood elves and that there might be a chance at an Allied Race of High Elves. So things are looking very good for customizations for the Thalassian races. Heres hoping, now that Kotick is gone, that Blizzard realizes that providing options for the players characters is a very good thing.
For the Legacy of the Quel’dorei!
Happy new year
Happy New Years and looking forward to 2024!
Eyy! Its visible again! Woot!
So what is a Legacy Quesa’dilla? And does it taste good? Any Elf that can cook is O.K. in my books.
EDIT: Oops, read that wrong, lol.
EDIT #2: Fenelon, I did not know that you were in charge of the HE thread. Thrall’s Balls!
EDIT #3: I see HE’s have tats. Is Xal’atath a HE that got twisted to the void? I notice she has some seriously cool tats imo and maybe her HE tats got transformed into Void tats. Actually, she’s not even an Elf from what I know it is just like the dragons humanoid form. It’s just the form she chose. Still, would be cool to have tat options on all Elves imo.
darn it… now I want a quesadilla…
All good lol.
I run the Void elf, Blood elf and High elf customization threads nowadays. (I also run the Mechagnome and Kul’Tiran ones.)
I love making customization threads! If I had the time I’d do a whole lot more of them.
Xal’atath is… some sort of void being? We’re actually unsure exactly what she is. However during BfA she took the body of a blood elf and turned it effectively into a void elf body with her essence.
Strictly speaking shes piloting a corpse as that blood elf was killed at the time. lol
Her tattoos are new and both those, her eye color and hairstyle are all customizations wanted by Void Elves! (the tats work great for high elves too though they’re kinda old gody.)
Also happy to see you here!
Apparently (thank you Aleona for the info) Chris Metzen ran a DnD campaign a bit ago and the he had two races in their respective factions:
High Elves for Alliance and Forest Trolls (Amani) for the Horde
These are already the two races people were speculating to come in Midnight so this just adds further fuel to that theory for me!
Exciting times ahead!
Can’t wait for more Void Elf customizations in War Within though while we are waiting Need those new Xal eyes badly </3
Don’t get my hopes up lol
This is very interesting news! Do you happen to have its source in general? Is there more tea there?
This is very interesting and definitely something I’d heard considered in the recent hub bub. Glad to see there is some actual fuel for that fire!
Oh I hope we get some nice void things. Honestly hope a lot of people get some nice things… kinda tired of the “heres 5 hair colors” stuff…
A friend told me excitedly but Ill have to find out where from so I can share! Hopefully it wasn’t wrong haha
I just found (Technically someone else made me aware is more correct) a very nice artist on twitter called Tol’Karg and they’ve done some amazing artwork of all sorts of WoW characters.
Heres a rework of Vereesa they did.

Going to more or less post this same post in all of my customization threads with some small changes for each race.
With the New Year beginning and our hopes for what that year will bring I’d like to just reaffirm that I will continue to update and work on this thread so that Blizzard has an easily viewable list, with pictures, for what players want to see for High Elves, as well as a place for players to gather and talk about what they’d like to see for High Elves.
A lot can happen in a year and we never know when or if Blizzard will add the things we request but if we do nothing to talk about it they’ll never know what we want or how we want it. Communication is important and while the Forums are often thought of as a place where Blizzard won’t listen or care, I’ve seen that thats not the case. We should continue with all effort make sure that Blizzard cannot forget that we’re here and asking for things, reasonable things, to be added to our favorite races.
So I’ll be here and I hope all those who support High Elven options will be as well!
For the Legacy of the Quel’dorei!
Seeing all of DF’s hunter tier sets since we get to vote for which tier set for fated… It really makes me hope Midnight makes up for the less than ideal hunter mogs. I’d love for some ranger mogs and thalassian mogs in general.
What you’re asking for a specific sets which either land on the trading post (like the Goblin armor right now or the past High Elf/HMT/ZT sets) or become quest items later on in midnight. I’m not sure if the developers will make theme park sets regarding the elves.
I think there will be Thalassian armor and weapons to collect at Midnight, I just hope there will be different colors to represent BE, HE and VE…
The set I am using on this hunter is very thalassian and my favorite recent hunter tier set. I liked the warfront mail set for my nelf hunter but since nelf have their heritage set now, I don’t use it any more. There’s nothing stopping Blizz from making more recolors of this set I am using with some void, fel, arcane, light, darkfallen vibes to it. Update the graphics a bit and we’re set.
Because I promised this someone a while ago.
Two of us went through Stormwind and opened every TRP3 profile we could find. It’s fair to say that 60% of the players are Quel’dorei, with two to three bots being Void Elves. The rest are humans, Draeneis and here and there a Gnome, Kul Tiran or Worgen. Surprisingly Pandaren are even more popular than these three races combined. Dwarves were absent. We count around 130 active users and ignored Darkshire. We even found an odd one, who sees herself as Ren’dorei but looks completely Quel’dorei.

Most players on our servers prefer to be a Quel’dorei over a Ren’dorei. I didn’t save any names but I did count them, even though the number is always flexible.
I don’t know how Alliance-players outside of RP-servers operate, but it is very clear that the High Elf-subrace was a massive success.
I know that before Velves happened, the RP community for Belves was large. They took a hit with Velves, and then even more so with the Helf customizations. Now it doesn’t seem like you can find Belf numbers in RP like you used to. I never played Belf but I have friends who miss it but since Thalassian RPers moved to Alliance in droves, they are also Alliance now.
Anecdotally, I only have my helves and Velves on MG since I RP. I have like 6 Horde characters on my account, none of them are Belves. My raiding guild has lots of Belves since they are Horde. It seems like RPers prefer Helves and PvE/PvPers prefer Belves in my limited sample size.
I have like 6 characters I am ready to race swap to Helf if we get them in name. Yes I know I have a problem, I can’t stop at any time.
It’s no surprise. Most Blood Elves are just human-players with pointy ears, doing fashion shows and these things (on AD). And it was foretold that Belves will take a massive hit with High Elves becoming available to the Alliance.
