Opening portals to the Void. Mages can open portals to other planets, I rather doubt opening one into the vacuum of space is impossible, in fact there are tomes in Dalaran instructing pupils to STOP using portals to the Twisting Nether to throw out their trash.
Something else mages can do, just without the potential backlash of the animated object going crazy. Just walk around Silvermoon and watch all of the animated brooms, for example.
She was combing through their minds for information regarding the Dark Ranger she and Turalyon were tracking. This is what we should’ve been seeing all along from the Void Elves, stuff like this.
Someone was posting it at me, I think to use the one person in there being a twerp about horde posters for no reason. And now a thousand upvotes on a mog post mean something vital?
Yeah. At the end of the day, the anecdotal data is pretty strong. Saw a void elf player earlier worrying because he says he only sees High Elves running around and that’s when you really don’t have any hair color options and don’t have any hair style options.
I think I’ve made three high elf characters since shadowlands came out? And it’s tough.
I’m so pumped about one of the hairstyles going tentacless. Gonna drop the hood.
Finally having some blue hair will be a choice you make rather than a choice you’re forced to make.
And what mage portal can be shot to the enemy and teleport the enemy to the Twinsting Nether? it is especifically said to be Void in both, the object given and Umbric’s words.
No other Kirin Tor mage or Magister have shown something similar. Unless we say the Blood Elves could’ve always done that to Arthas or the Scourge and never passed through their heads.
Except they do, because Thrilliax is one example of going crazy. However, it is highly possible that the way to be done with the Void is either easier or more powerful, otherwise Umbric, who is a mage, wouldn’t have risked it for the Void.
At the end of the day, it is still something very different than what Mages are mostly shown doing, which is opening portals for people or plain fighting. Except for the Dinosaur one where machines have been animated with Arcane.
Or if Turalyon didn’t open the Dark Portal to AU Draenor and bring the Lightbound through to fight the Scourge off turning the world all to hell in a glorious Light based assault across the world that we the heroes of the Alliance and Horde will now have to put down to set things right before we head off to deal with the real threat of the big bad wind chime of the Light’s leader in their own realm taking the fight to them in another Expansion (or more likely a 10.3 patch) which will invariably lead into another cosmic force.
Yeah, I want to keep to Azeroth as well. The potential there is amazing. There’s so many stories that need to be updated. So much that needs renewal after the alarmingly frequent near apocalypses. The next expansion should focus on the races of Azeroth, race specific class identity/customization, stories, rebuilding and re-establishing cities, cosmetics, etc
I’d love to see some of these, at least, also. And some work on the entropic embrace visual. An option to stay in it all of the time, a pure black or very dark purple option, and maybe a starry, glittering option.
“Taking,” implies that the Blood Elves have lost something. As far as I know, despite Void Elves now having natural skin tones and hair colors, copied from Blood Elves, Blood Elves have not lost the ability to use either.
Also, it’s not up to me. I don’t work for Blizzard. If I had any actual say, Void Elves wouldn’t have seen any customizations copied from Blood Elves, and High Elves would’ve been added as a separate Allied Race. Maybe, ‘Half-Elves,’ to distinguish them a bit further and justify a new model. I’d want to pair them with Mok’Nathal too.
Unfortunately, I don’t have the power to determine what we get, so I’ll just ask for what I want and accept what we’re given (if anything). When it came to the new hair colors I wanted (and expected) a copy/paste of Kul Tiran hair colors since they’re natural and share Void Elf hair textures.
Oh well. I’d just like some cleaner hair now. Particularly longer hair on men.
