At least that’s good. Never really had siblings to how it feels like especially 4 younger siblings. But I can empathize on being stressed taking burden of responsibilities.
It is a big shame indeed. I think the only time a non human was an Alliance protagonist was Velen in Legion, and in the end we got Turalyon leading his own forces. I sadly doubt the Human centrism is going to change. But I feel Blizz is aware because, if I am not mistaken, they removed the “Human potential” line from Shandris in BFA.
It is true that Void Elves likely would’ve stayed below Humans (I mean, if Night Elves who have scared Orcs before have been put below Humans… more so the Void Elves), but at least they were more original.
Except the Void. What do we know from the Void aside from seeing it only on enemies? We have one class that uses it, and is still partially light.
We have Fel portrayed on two classes, Magic portrayed on a whole class, Elements, Druidism, etc. But Void is not even a full spec. Because Shadow Priest is not even fully Void, is like 40% light.
And hopefully we don’t scrap that because Blizz will decide to show High Elves being there saying “hoorah!” for the humans instead.
I have not seen many Worgen, especially Warlocks. And I play on a server where the Worgen (males) are LOVED for some… especial benefit they have in some RPs. The most Warlocks I see are Void Elves.
False. The Void Elves in BFA were shooting people to outer space and rising dinosaurs with Void magic. In the book, Alleria was using the Void to manipulate people, enough to scare Jaina (or not sure who, but one character) with the brutality.
That was pretty sick, and way more than just opening portals.
If a customer wants it, then a company should provide it. Players have been requesting this for years. Make it a payable custom race pack so it’s worth their time. With all the lawsuits and new projects would be nice way to fund.
I’m not sure your whole, “The Alliance needs to stop being human centric!” thing is going to work out.
Warcraft 1 is literally called, “Orcs and Humans.”
The Warcraft Movie is about Orcs and Humans.
While the Horde may seem like it’s about Blood Elves because of the preponderance of players. It’s really about Orcs.
not necessarily, there’s plenty of reasons that it could be a good reason to deny customer requests no matter the business.
Pretty sure they had high elves in Stormwind in the movie. But people will surely call it “ThAt’S nOt cAnOn” yeah we know. it’s not canon. But food for thought.
A lot of folk who have argued with Cezol have him on ignore cause hes a might bit aggressive and doesn’t normally contribute to conversations much.
Hes a grumpy pup.
What are you going to expect, Horde destroyed his home with green goos.
ha! Fair point.
Though honestly I’m not even sure whats up with Gilneas at this point in time. >.<
I agree with you completely. I don’t think it is going to change.
But the less races too closely tied to Humans we get, the better. Not saying people should not get HE. Like I said, I understand the pleas for HE fans and the disgust Horde players have with it because it is their most popular model being handed down.
What I don’t want is the race I played for what it is to be forgotten. I didn’t make this Void Elf to look ike a Belf or Helf. I played it because they are supposed to be monsters. Monsters that were grabbing Goblins and sending them to have a brutal death in the space with a Void attack or rising dinousaurs. Monsters that are loyal to the Alliance, but can use the brutality the Horde uses against their enemies.
Basically a great duality inside a faction where the Light devotion is primordial.
Really, faction wise I guess there hasnt been a worse death than just dying in the space inside your robot. Seeing you going further away from your planet and that time was growing short. No burial, no remembrance, just a slow death inside your robot.
That’s brutal, I think rivaling the Forsaken’s brutality, and watch out if not going further.
What’s going on with Plaguelands? There is a giant hole where the Forsaken used to live. Where do they live now?
At this point we have to expect Sylvanas JUST LITERALLY SOILED ENTIRE LORDAERON with green goos and head stuck farms with weird grotesque abandoned experiments that maybe beyond saving for a long time.
I guess this is how you literally destroy Azeroth. just ending story with green pukes across the lands.
This Warhammer post here…
I think Void Elves will be fine.
High Elves have been around for sixteen years without them being playable.
They can throw a few Void Elves in and around.
Customization options are a bit different. But actual Void Elves will be around longer than they should be, considering they were just a squad of Blood Elves.
And they tried to do it to Darkshore.
Yeah but you also have to remember that factions have themes.
And for the history of WoW, Alliance was always considered the ‘LOTR’/‘Vanilla fantasy’ option whereas Horde was considered ‘Monstruous’/‘Misfits’ fantasy.
And what I’ve been noticing from a lot of the Horde crowd ever since we got these Allied Races coming through is a big push toward making the thematic of races on Alliance the same way they’re on Horde.
When that is not part of the thematic for why many chose to pick Alliance in the first place. There’s a reason why so many of Alliance things are so ‘vanilla’. (or what some may call, ‘Boring’). It’s simply typical fantasy fare.
Then send Night Elves to the Horde and Blood Elves to the Alliance, because these races are in the wrong faction.
If they can stay where they are, we can go further and add more diversity. If Blizzard didn’t want to break the theme, they wouldn’t have added the Void Elves to the Alliance
PD: I didn’t choose faction, when I started playing I chose Night Elves, regardless of the faction they were in.
Was it really though?
I mean you have the night elves, you get out of vanilla fantasy with the steam powered tech the gnomes and dwarves bring in. And the closest it gets to LotR is some race names in common. I mean, people brought that in with them, but never got those vibes from the story.
The funny thing is people said this at the beginning of Vanilla WoW, they were perplexed why NE joined the Alliance (when they’re pretty much isolationist) and were surprised they didn’t receive Thalassians at the outset.
Not really particularly because they want to play Alliance either.
Name reasons why haven’t a custom race would ruin your experience and game play.
