but the SC of dalaran! they have vereesas cramped apartment and a room with 6 bunk beds for all 12 of their members still alive! and they are bound by dalarans neutrality!

It wouldnât undermine the lore, itâd add to it.
Even if that were true they still have the void elves beat.
I KNOW WHAT IâM ABOUT, SIR/MAâAM.
High Elves are an objectively bad and wrong race to add to be playable but, how does it undermine lore? There is lore for them to be added. What High Elves do undermine is game-design.
what new story can be told through them that isnt already being told through blood or void elves. gameplay wise i agree they are identical and theres no need to copy them for the alliance. the high elf fantasy is there for all to play

I donât get that.
Theyâve been allies with the humans for ages.
Why does their appearance matter so much if the faction divide is important?
Them looking the same and being on opposite factions adds to that. It shows that the ideals of each side are strong enough to turn on each other.
Are we only talking like main characters? Thereâs tons of high elves in the alliance.
Doing something that doesnât require tons of effort that makes nice amounts of money is good business sense, but I guess Iâm wrong. lol
Making an already existing faction of elves within the alliance playable is something that should have been done ages ago.
They were units in both WC2 and WC3, theyâve been living alongside humans ever since as well and long before that. Wish I knew the lore better than I do. Read the books but it doesnât always stick.
The existence of Dalaran and the Silver Covenant are reason enough for them to be playable.
lol
âagain, my dude, it is not, the point is always people wanting the white and blond elves in the aliance, lore be dammed, all other points are just trying to masquerade that.â
I could care less what color hair or skin they have. The whole point is having an existing alliance faction be playable for those who want to play them. Same as Ogres should be playable or the elven forsaken.
Does no such thing. It strengthens the faciton divide. Itâs not bending the lore at all. The lore is already there.
Because itâd make for good story and maybe build up a better action divide than the poor one we current have.
They took blood elves kicked them from Quelâthalas and mutated them with Void.
Thatâs not the Silver Covenant or other high elves that have been allied with humans for ages.
And High Elves have a different and opposite thematic to Blood Elves.
So you agree?
Nope, Dalaran has been around much longer and has had humans and elves living allied.
Itâs in the alliance war campaign the Sanâlayn are working for the horde to prove themselves so they can join it. Itâs one of the story elements that hasnât been continued but hopefully was put in place to explain their future inclusion.
Eh, Yeah. Horde has been doing this since at least Wrath, more so Sylvanas, but sheâs been horde all that time. Kinda glad to see her leave. Maybe the horde can be more good. Come from some pretty bad roots though.
Potentially can. Via story and more revenue.
The story and lore, the thematic as you keep saying. Nothing to do with hair color.
Not all of them.
This is also just your opinion.
You donât know that. I think itâll improve it, also my opinion.
Some did, some didnât.
One can argue thatâs not true as the Blood Elves renounced that =P
One is no longer a high elf is theyâre a blood elf. Kaelâthas said so himself
Exactly and Iâve yet to see any good or logical reason for the High Elves to not be playable. Same as why I support pretty much every playable race people want. They can all be made to work.
Very true. Having things a bit more balanced could be goodâŚnot necessarily by drawing from the hordeâŚbut bringing back or attracting people that want to play that specific race.
Doesnât bother me. Let people play what they want. Denying someone the opportunity to do as they wish is crappy.
How? Expanding lore for various groups does not undermine another, thatâs silly.
Yeah, thereâs like 12 and theyâre playable.
Thanks for the nightmares
theres 2 canon ones in SW and 2 in boralus. where are these âtonsâ at
Here we go againâŚ
Plenty about the âmagical Veganismâ and could add to faction rivalry. But yea, they shouldnât be added.
void elves fill that role
Not sure what you mean by canon. Thereâs the silver covenant and the mages all over the place. See them in battles and in Dalaran. Thatâs why I asked if youâre talking about characters like Veressa.
The ones Iâm talking about are the ones people could be playing, not some npc running a shop.
Void Elves arenât much of that lorewise though, they wish for the people of SM to become a part of the Alliance. But yea they could still fit the bill for the âfaction Rivalry trade markedâ
yea im talking about ones in actual alliance territory. the ones alliance have claim to
as for the SC they have no lore beyond being a backdrop in stories for the kirin tor leader and dalaran. they are not a race. they are a political reactionary group of the sunreavers IN DALARAN
high elf lore IS blood elf lore now. if you want to follow their story, play a damn blood elf
No because Alaryaia is a High elf like the void elfs. Sylvanas was a High elf that was a undead. Where as the undead race where humans that where zombies.
You are wrong, because if it was good money, and good business, why havent they done it?
Why would you waot, and let the value of that opportunity drop, when you can do it now? This constant ignorance of âit willl make them moneyâ is impressive. We can break it in simple economics.
What you can buy for a dollar today, you cannot buy tomorrow.
The money they could have made in the past is worth more than it would have been today. So the longer you wait, the less money to gain. So yeah, you are wrong because you lack knowledge in this subject.
Uhhh that isnt how it works. Just because you are friendly with a country doesnt make you a part of their large group.
